Kentucky Dam PoA fly-in... (M34 Apr 26-29) who's coming?

The plane is real. It's my ability to fly it that is often brought in to question.

I think I have time to figure it out for this damn event. ;)

I've seen the plane.
I have even seen it at 3 different airports.

It's a good looking plane.

I must admit that I may have been a little wrong. I believe I might have been following a cardinal in to Tyler Texas for breakfast piloted by one mr. Ravioli.

Eman I want to ride in your Moonanzaey.
Seen it, parked next to it and climbed on the wing to get a first person view of the inside, but regrettably didn’t get my picture in it. That really would’ve carried some nice bragging rights. But yeah I’VE SEEN EMAN’S PLANE IN PERSON. Woo hoo!!

lol it’s really nothing special, I mean besides the big bore 6 banger continental, legendary bonanza landing gear, v-tail, throw over yoke....other than that it’s just an airplane.

I told you I was going to brag on POA, just needed to find the right time & place to squeeze that in. :D

Well hell, we've never really seen any good pics of it. Just a teaser photo when he first got the Vtail.

I took a decent photo of it. Pictures just don’t do it justice...

We're planning on hotel and RV-6A. If camping we'll be in the Cardinal.

[For Oshkosh the camping gear goes FedEx]

I don't like running toilets. :(

All pending the damned medical. Sitting in the hospital lobby now with radioactive blood.

Hey, I could be Spider-Man!

Hey, I could be Spider-Man!

Turn the lights off to see if you glow! :)

Just went through this last month and then had an international flight the next day. Real fun explaining to the customs officer why his Geiger counter was going crazy.

Good luck , Bill!

What are most folks thinking, camping or the hotel?

I love camping, but I'm leaning toward hotel/cottage this trip. Firstly, my wife isn't as much of a fan of camping as I, though she doesn't mind too much. Second, I kind of don't want to take and set up all the gear that makes camping enjoyable for just a couple nights. Third, I don't really want the extra weight. That said, if the majority is going to camp, We'll camp.

Looking at the park website, it looks like several people could bunk up together in a cottage and come out pretty cheap. I saw something like $69 per night for a one room cottage, and the two and three bedrooms weren't too high. If I recall, there was a three bedroom that has like 7 beds in it or something like that. I'd advocate for a few folks bunking up in a multi-room cottage.

Only about 45min flight in the RV-4. Might fly up for a day just to meet some of you miscreants.

The 2lb pork chop at Patti's is the real deal.

Indeed.
They are delicious.
On a particularly busy night, we ended up waiting about 2 1/2 hours to get ours. Many folks around us were complaining.
We ate about 7 of the flower pots full of bread.
The waitress finally shows up with a tray full of them just a' sizzling and with our mouths still watering, she hurriedly spun around to set the tray down and plop....right on the floor they went.
Everyone in a 10 foot radius fell silent in disbelief.

She was mortified also.
I wanted to help make everyone feel better (especially her), so I quickly said, Well good, we can eat some more bread!
It helped, but it was a tense moment for sure.

Hotel booking complete. I told them to put me far away from anyone named Eric.

I registered as Billy Joe Bobby Ricky Billy Bob so I probably got the playboy suite.
