Day 6 post-op from my uvulectomy and since day 4, the pain has only gotten worse. Doc said this would happen though. Anyway, just wanted to say “dingle-dangle” in a thread on POA, back to NETFLIX and Amazon Prime.

Oh, and “airplanes” (to keep it Aviation related).

Speedy recovery. And check out 'Longmire' on Netflix

I had my tonsils out at age 30 something and it took forever to recover. I feel for ya. Hang in there.

I had mine removed several years ago. The doc said it would cause pain for 10 days, and he gave me 10 days worth of pain med.

Somehow, he nailed it. It hurt like hell for 10 days, then all of a sudden it felt fine and I ate a steak.

No more dingle dangle in your pan handle? Can u still give it a wang jangle?

Whew! You had me worried for a second. I thought you were talking about...

Dude...SOF don’t call cadence. Too busy and out of breath from picking up said dingle dangle ‘cause it’s dragging in the dirt due to being in the club til 0400 and scrambling to make the 0600 show time for the run!

Yeah, I don't think I ever saw SOAR do a formation run. You and your special little black PTs...still had a stupid PT belt though. ;)

LOL, I think I ran in like one division run my whole time there. Several Battalion runs though. And the reflective belt... <sigh>

Here's a true story that comes to mind as the OP talks about his uvula (that is what we're talking about, right?)

During my Senior year in High School, the US Dept of Energy sponsored the 1st annual Science Bowl. As far as I know, we were the only (local) public school in attendance. We had a team of 5. It was a game like jeopardy in that the question is asked and the person presses a button to get acknowledged to be able to answer and score. IIRC you can consult with your team before answering.

My buzzer was on the fritz. Little did I know that my teammates were also experiencing the same thing. We were beaten soundly and many days after-the-fact we suspected foul-play. Nevertheless...

On this particular question I, the team captain with bustling pride desired to answer and pressed the button with all of my youthful earnestness to the question asked: 'What is the dangly thing at the roof of the mouth' (or something close). An eternity passed with no one else buzzing to answer, so I kept pressing my buzzer to answer. A kid at the other table finally answered, "Uvula" and with that answer they took a sound lead that we couldn't recover from.

I was a bit relieved that was over because I just KNEW the right answer was "Vulva".

I had a UP3 for "heroic" snoring at 39. Doctor at the time did not feel like my tonsils needed to come out with the procedure. He also told me it would hurt pretty badly but begin to feel better about day 6-7...only to come back like an SOB until day 10 when the pain disappeared completely. He was absolutely correct. When it initially began to feel better, I thought I had it licked. The next day I was in misery again.

After about three months, I began snoring again. Different doctor trimmed more from the soft pallet and also removed tonsils. Same story. Same results.

I can certainly sympathize with you.

Just leaving this here.

Nauga,
