Just went to wunderground to get a quick 10-day...and found I couldn't search by airport code any more. Why remove that??

I just tired KDAB and it found it. What airport did you try? Perhaps the station there is off line or shut down.

Interesting. I don't find KDAB. I wonder if I'm on the other side of an A/B test. KHAF, KPAO, KSJC were my searches.

They also seem to have removed wind from the hourly table.

I can't bring up those 4 cities, either.

Another f'in "enhancement" since the Weather Company (weather.com) bought them. Makes it FAR less useful. Add it to the list including the fact that it won't search until you mouse-down and select the station (can't search directly from the search box), changes to the model maps, and a really ugly & less useful station screen. Figured this would happen after they got bought.

You can still pull up historical weather by airport code, but if you go to the forecast page it will give you the nearest city. For example, from the KSJC history page, you can click the forecast tab and it will take you to Santa Clara. Useless as **** on a bull.

If you haven't already found a different and more useful provider, now might be the time to start. NWS is looking better and better all the time (until IBM/Weather Company tries to get them shut down).

I get sporadic behavior. Some work, some don't. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason either.

Intellicast.com seems to have a very similar format to what wunderground used to have, and it still allows airport searches (at least, the four airports mentioned above still popped up).

Coincidentally, I deleted the app about a month ago, and I re-installed it today. Maybe that is why it worked for me. I wonder if reinstalling yours might fix it.

They may be having backend problems. Identifiers that were working fifteen minutes ago, KDAL, KJFK, KSAN, now return nothing.

They all worked for me. I'm on version 5.6

I was using the website. Just tried the app and all of the above worked. Also, some take me straight to the airport, some take me to the city.

Sho Nuff, the web site is messed up.

Hmm, yeah, I was on the website.

Didn't realize they were bought by weather.com. That makes me unhappy.

Yeah, weather.com is screwing them in the a**!

there will so many ads shortly it will take 10 minutes to find out that you can't find out what you want. :)
uBlock Origin is your friend.

I don't use the search bar. What I do is type "wunderground.com/us/<state>/<airport>" into the location bar. Doing that, "wunderground.com/us/ca/khaf" etc works for me.

I did not know weather.com bought them. No wonder. Wunderground used to be my go to for weather, seems like over the last few months it has become less and less useful. Like others have said, less weather data, the search bar has become a pain (how they managed to screw that up I have no idea), and the most recent interface, for lack of a better word, pretty much sucks. And yes, WAY more ads than before. Pretty much just like weather.com, which I find terrible. Looks like they have managed to take my go to everyday weather source and ruin it. Looks like I will be looking to try something new. Maybe I will try out windy.com like @overdrive148 suggests.

I like it. This is the Android app but the website functions the same and has a ton of different filters (pressure, rain, wind from SFC to FL400, you name it). About all I don't see on the app are severe weather watches and warnings. I still get those via another app on my phone called RadarScope or from the NWS site.

I just downloaded it, playing with it some. I like it so far.

Yup, Weather Underground has been my "go to" weather site for years, but the recent format changes suck (the app is OK). Thanks for the tip on Windy.com. I like the site and intend to get the app.

IBM bought out the weather channel, and weather underground, get ready for more changes.
