Anyone here have an AeroLift? Any problems? Would you recommend it?
A Pal is considering one and is worried about the possibility of failure that would squash an airplane.

Thanks

I guess if you can afford to buy one, you can afford any damage that results.

I’ve never heard of any lift failures. They seem to work well, just at a hefty price.

I briefly considered getting one to increase the available real estate in our 60 x 60, but in the end I opted for a Towbot (cheaper and allows us to maximize hangar loading with the Beech 18.

I know of only one failure. I think I read it on VAF.

The guy installed it and checked with the manufacturer on everything and they recommended replacing some thingy with the new doohickie for like $500. He chose not to and the lift failed on him about 6 months later.

If you're buying new you should be okay... but if you're picking up a used one don't make the mistake that guy did.

A friend has one in a t-hanger. Allows her to keep an Arrow RG and 152 in a single T-Hangar.
