Who is braving black Friday?

I pretty much do not leave the house from Thanksgiving until after New Years.

Who else is putting up the Christmas decorations tomorrow..??

We're going to the mall tomorrow morning (late morning) for the annual family pictures at JC Penny. Other than that, no special plans. We'll go a bit early as I expect we'll have to look for a place to park.

No Black Friday shopping for me. I don’t feel like getting stabbed at Walmart arguing over a $20 toaster. I’m probably going to do Amazon again for Christmas shopping.

No Walmart, Kmart, JC Penny, Target, Sears (well we have one but its about 5000sqft), in Juneau. We have Fred Meyers, Jo Ann's, Sportsman's Warehouse, and Office Depot....:lol:

While I really like Christmas, I really hate the commercialization. Sickens me really. The holidays are supposed to be fun and joyful. We've turned it into a freaking circus.

You couldn't pay me to go shopping on Black Friday with all the hard up jack wagons on the loose.

I figured Alaskan's simply went out in the woods and picked up a tree branch or snow ball. LOL Who knew you all had retail? :)

I haven't shopped Black Friday a day in my life. Not changing now.

Did it a couple years when the kids were young and we were pinching pennies. No way I'd brave the crazed masses these days. Who wants to get trampled to death?

Better off doing Cyber Monday/Tuesday from the comfort of your own home. Amazon will have great deals as well.

No interest whatsoever. In fact, I avoid stores during the whole season. Internet shopping is your friend.

I bought a 55" TV online Wednesday for $230 net using credit card price match and a copy of a black friday ad. Free delivery to boot.

My nutty millennial daughter got up at 5am to go to the mall with friends.

Aircraft Tool Supply (thank you Tom) has a sale on everything plus a 10% off code. So in the comfort of my own home, I ordered my rivet gun kit, rivets and Cleco set.

One of my goofy daughters left after Thanksgiving dinner to go shopping with her friends.

F**k thanksgiving, f**k Christmas, f***k shopping, I f*** ing hate holidays. I just do. I wish I could fast forward to January.

I'm with ya Sac. Unfortunately my wife doesn't share our thought. But, I ain't going no where today, no way no how! Never have, never will.

I'll happily pay a few dollars extra to not get up early and/or not deal with crowds. I'll be avoiding retail stores as much as possible until 2018 now.

Been poking around Amazon and a few other sites. Only thing I've found so far that held any interest was 10% off a limited slip differential on Summit Racing's site.

I don’t care to get tangled up in the crowds, so I’ll stay away.

Damn, I drove to the coast this morning to blow off steam. I came back, and all of the freeways were crowded with Black Friday shoppers. Don't sign me up.

Went out this evening with family,I’m visiting with. No shopping ,just beers, and specialty pizza.

Black Friday is the only day most folks get off the sofa and exercise.

I was tempted by a few online deals this evening, but I kept having this feeling I didn’t need any of it. I felt a sense of relief when I closed the browser. A sure sign I didn’t need any of it for me or for gifts.

I didn’t see any Black Friday deals on Avgas for a year or I might have bought that. Ha.

We of POA think you need a new car first. LOL

As a millenial, share the details on the tv and where you got it from!

Totally surprised yesterday... went to Fry's to return something around 9:00 AM... parking lot empty store too in and out in five minutes, headed over to Costco to do the same... parking lot empty.... or lets say I got a spot close to the front door in and out in 25 minutes... had a few things to pick up too. Headed over to the "elmondo grosso super strip mall.." to hit the pet shop for some aquarium supplies... again empty...

That said I check on the usual on line rags to see if Cessna or Piper we're having any Black Friday deals... guess I just keep waiting like I did for the red Porsche with Kim Bassinger in the passenger seat when I was 16.... :p

I had to brave the store to get some screens for my gutters. Hoping to not go near another retail establishment until 2013.

Guy asked me on Thanksgiving if I'd check my Academy Sports store here for a quad pod accessory kit as the one where he lives was out. Checked online and mine is out too! YES! Didn't want to drive there this morning and get in the traffic nightmare.

Odd. Old buddy of mine texted me from Frys yesterday at around noon saying the line was 2 hours long.

Samsung 55-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart TV Model UN55MU6290

Bought it on Wednesday at Kohls.com for $900, free delivery, earning $270 in 'Kohl's cash' to spend later on stuff I need anyway. Used my Citicard price rewind to get a price match to Kohl's black Friday ad, $500. $230 net, no need to be online at 12:01 am when it went onsale, no fighting crowds at the store.

Just for grins, checked Thursday morning when I woke up at 5:30, they were already out of stock online. Ha ha, I win!
