As crazy as it sounds I'm putting this out there. I need a two-bladed fixed pitch GA prop. Something modern. So if you're around San Diego and know of a propeller sitting somewhere let me know what I can do to borrow it. Once I have the prop it would go into a silicon mold for around 24 hours.

I have one you can borrow, you pay shipping both ways.
it's a McCauley off a 150

Awesome. I'm not sure what it would cost to ship but I will look it up. I'm waiting on the molding supplies and would like to start early December. I'll be in touch.

Thanks.

Just don't let it hit you in the head.

you fixin to 3D print some props?

I'm making a silicon mold of the propeller so I can cast copies out of different materials. I wanted the mold to be authentic as possible. I wish I had a 3D resin printer large enough to print one. The resin and molding stuff isn't cheap so I have one shot at this.

I was going to use a teal colored epoxy resin and throw in a sand layer with some seashells, from the seashore. It will look like an airplane propeller made out of a strip of beach.

Whatever you do, don't sand the fake propeller lest the gods of the FAA shall smite you.

Are you going to sell them? You could get the wife/gf to do it. She sells seashells at the seashore. Classic tongue twister

I was making one as a gift for someone. The materials are so expensive I'm not sure anyone would want to buy one. It will be around $400 per prop. You can get cheap ones on eBay for $50.
