A question about the perception of passing time

Now that I'm retired I have 6 Saturdays and Sunday. I do know what you mean and the way I got away from the Monday blues when I was working was to make sure I accomplished something (other than writing on POA) over the weekend. Set a goal on Friday whether it is building something, reading something or doing practice maneuvers in your plane. When Monday comes around you will feel better for it. Oh, never mow your lawn on the weekend, that's what Wednesday afternoon is for.

If you're sleep deprived during the week and catch up on the weekend, then your weekend is shorter than it should be. If your spend your entire weekend doing things you need to do and never do anything you want to do, you'll feel like you never left work, just went to a different location.

Balance is the key. You have to get some things done, but you can't neglect things you want to do.

First are you drinking mezcal every weekend? or just the weekends where you accelerate time?
The more you enjoy the weekend the shorter it is.

it depends on how many different things you do. Many = long. Few = short.

Sit and watch TV, weekend goes fast. Get out and do a lot of different thinges and it seem a long weekend.

Or, maybe it's the other way around. ;)

......just wait 'til you get older - all time accelerates then. Problem solved.

....except for that getting older thing.

As a friend's bumper sticker said, "When you're over the hill you pick up speed".

Retire, then there are no weekends or weekdays since it’s all the same.

Cheers

Bingo. That works for me. WORK is a four letter word. :D
