SOLD

This summer, I updated my entire panel in a new-to-me Cessna 182F.
Out came a Garmin GNS480.
It was in great operating condition when removed, includes an 8130.
I know it's not the most popular unit according to some online - I liked it.
I would like to "pay it forward" to someone out there looking for some modernization without breaking the bank.
Currently I see them listed on eBay and other sites between $4,350 (15 active bids) and $7,000+ without.

>> Selling this one for $4,000. If you're a young person (or buying for one) who is getting into aviation on a budget, have a conversation with me.

My responses may be slow, I am a full-time traveler, frequently OCONUS.

The 480 is a good unit. We have one in the club C182P.

its a great unit. I have one. for the price, someone should grab it

For the price, someone should be looking for a picture with a pencil, the s/n, the supposed 8130.

"I do not trust you Scam I am."

I didn't have a pencil, so I provided you a note in my favorite black magic marker instead.

Good on ya to stick with us and put up with the snarkiness about the pencil. We've had sooooo many folks come by that are scamabees that we use the request for the #2 pencil to send folks who just found an photo on the networkz somewhere else.

You're gonna fit in with this crowd just fine....

Typically, I would have drawn the universal "American" gesture for "you're number one" - figured I'd wait until I was out of probation to pull it out.

@sardonux -- I'm checking with my partners. We were going to upgrade a 430 to 430W but we may make an offer on your 480 instead.

And as @AggieMike88 said -- nice response. You'll probably enjoy yourself here.

@Ravioli next you're in the DC area look me up and we can go have fun exploring SFRAs and other crap airspace. As you've read, I am pimping out my '63 C182F

on a diff note, do I need a 8130 if something is coming off panel? like everything? TC, DG etc?

short answer for @WannFly : The 8130 certifies conformance to standards for installation in certificated aircraft. Removal does not require one. Re-sell may go better with one.

@Tom-D will correct me soon.

Hi- I have an airplane with a Garmin GNS480 and havent found a card data programmer that works well with the GNS480. Wondering if you could email me the make and model and a photo if possible of the data card reader that you use to peterlenton at gmail.com? Thanks Peter
