IFR Accelerated Training Options That Don't Break The Bank

Are you still active duty? You might look around for an Air Force Aero Club, many of which are 141 approved. When I instructed at Eglin, a Reserve dentist wanted to knock out an instrument rating while there during his 2 week duty. I worked with him exclusively (used his C210) and we got it done.

Here's list of Aero Clubs, sadly not as many as there used to be:

There are Army and Navy clubs also. At Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville they have a large club, good selection of planes, and a bunch of CFIIs. Here's their link:

Negatory - Actually I'm approaching the 15 year deadline on using my benefits :(

I'm part 61 (so you couldn't use the VA) and booked out through March (Plane is out of service in April). If you're not there by May, I could knock it out for you. Feedback and details at obxflight.blogspot.com obxflight.com

My phone is over-loaded...so it would be best to shoot me an email.
