Fall foliage flights

The only colors around my part of NM is brown and green. All year long. Except when the area turns white.

Except for one really nice real tree. Then that one tree will turn yellow. People come from miles around to see the one yellow tree.

Fall foliage flying my cessna around florida isn't too great, its pretty hard to see the changing color license plates from the air, the drive becomes more scenic for the annual changing of the license plate colors

Try flying along the beaches. It's easier to see the bikinis changing into fall colors. And more fun.

I've got to get out East one year from some air-to-air photos. This has been on my bucket list for too long!

Thought we were going to have nice trees finally this weekend but 3 days straight of 40kt gusts have stripped the trees pretty good. BAH!

We were in Boone, NC a few years back when the leaves were at peak. We really enjoyed the drive to our rental, but that was all we got for seeing great foliage: a storm came through overnight and washed/blew away all the gorgeous leaves! We had a couple days of great views of the bare trees.

Despite being deluged by rain for the last 3 days, there are still a few leaves on the trees here, and the ones that are still attached are very colorful indeed. No question, though, the foliage season is almost over, and this week was a taste of the sour weather to come. :(
