First flight lesson in three years tomorrow and weather looks great. Beyond excited. Ready to finish up the private and see what lies beyond.

Find a Rusty Pilot Seminar from AOPA that you can attend! Free and you get a log book endorsement for ground school. You get to meet souls in similar circumstances.

Welcome, congrats on your jumping back in.

Kewl! Check it often for our expert advice. But do be wary of our expert advice.

Welcome back. I took a break or two along the way too. The important thing is YOU'RE BACK! Good luck!

I'm out of KMSN in Wisconsin. Had to take a little time to get citizenship (save a little money there) and get my medical taken care of.

It was a great time. He didn't know me and I didn't know him so we went to the practice area and after clearing turns, did a few 180's, then 360's, then descending and ascending 360's. Easy stuff getting that muscle memory back. Pretty choppy till we got to three thousand feet but nice then. Feels so good to be back on the path.

Apparently there is an instructor shortage and I can't get back on the schedule until the end of November. At least the money won't run out at this pace but I'm not going to learn anything that sticks at that interval. Unfortunate.

That sucks. Have you looked at other nearby airports?

Welcome back.

I hope you find a better way to manage your training schedule.

In my opinion two to three times a week will be more effective.

The thought has occurred to me but the airport is fifteen minutes from home versus an hour drive each way.....and I'm not sure the schedule will be any friendlier.....but I may check into it regardless. Controlled class Charlie compared to class Delta hmmm. Maybe I should just hold onto the money and wait my turn until I can regularly get two to three in per week.

Are there any independent/freelance instructors nearby?
