Thinking Saturday Nov. 4 would be a good time to visit 57 Alpha for burgers, and take in the fall foliage near AVL. Weather dependent, of course! Anyone game?

There's good burgers at a seaplane base in Alaska?

I know where you are going, but I'm not going to tell.

I say 'Bama is the westernmost corner of the SE, at best.
Nah, the southeast is Georgia, Bama, and the Sip. This is also what is known as the dirty south and is where the good life is. Any place else..well..hahaha

Does sound like a good café though. Too bad Im not closer to these southeast fly in's.

Mississipi is deep South, but east of California, for sure.

North cant be south hence North Carolina not in the southeast...whew what a mouth full, I may have confused myself. Next thing we know South Dakota will be south central....is that possible?

Leslie and I plan to fly up to that area this Sunday (Oct 29), so we would be too early for the burger run.

We were considering AVL, but we usually steer clear of Signature. Does FQD have a decent FBO where we can park the BO for a few days and get a rental car? If not FQD, are there better places in the area?
Otherwise, we may contribute our $$$ to Signature.

There is an FBO, but I don't know about rentals.

Hmmmm. it does sound like a good idea though there is another aviation type event that day I am eyeballing. There is a pancake breakfast and ADS-B seminar at Lincolnton that day. Though that's breakfast. I'll still need to eat lunch. So.... maybe.

I'm open for other weekends, but the colors may be WAAAAYYYYY past peak.

So... is West Virginia in the West? Is South Dakota in the South?

:dunno:

You are a sick, sick man! ;)

Sick?! You're the one who brought up my possible Mormon neighbors, of which I have no knowledge what religion they may practice. I do live on a cul de sac, maybe the other neighbors you're talking about....

Wouldn't know... I'm Presbyterian.

See, there you go again, deflecting. You brought up the Mormons....tell you what, buy me two beers and I'll forget we even had this conversation. :)

Yep, two beers because in the mormon spirit, why have just one?

Ya know 'Dog, been married to the same woman for 45+ years. ONE is enough! Wouldn't want more, but I can see where that might be fun. OK, who is up tonight?

Nah, that's why I said next thing you know we will be calling South Dakota south...its not. And West Virginia..yeah I don't know what to say about that, its up there with Kentucky so anything goes. hahaha

Man a thread about a fly in has turned into a geography class and now multiple women...who would have thunk it?

Anyone hitting GMU this weekend to see Collings Foundation's warbirds?

I planned on it but now I'm working overtime this weekend. Actually need the extra cash.

West Virginia, hell that's easy. It's out west with Montana, Wyoming, wouldn't have West as part of it's name if it weren't a fact. That's right.

Hey, I was just recommending a beer to Mark that just happened to be called polygamy in a thread that just happened to have mentioned mormons. I did not suggest multiple women to him.

Not that I wouldn’t.

Wow, even after sludging thru all that innocuous BS... I still want a hamburger at FQD... I'm in for a NOV 4th meet!
