Onboard the Embraer Legacy 550. Blasting off to head back to CHA from Long Beach, CA. Private air travel is quite the pleasure.

Got a chance for some right seat time in a King Air 90 this morning. It was really nice breaking out of the fog for sunrise!

You fly a Legacy 550? Beautiful bird!

It's the Legacy 500 and it is an absolutely beautiful airplane. Really great for the pilots and the passengers, alike!

When I'm not flying my Eclipse, I get to fly that and occasionally the Phenom 300. Hopefully, my Phenom time will start to increase in the near future!

Waiting to take off from Monterey today. Looking towards the runway 28 end. This fairly large brush fire was causing all sorts of havoc. KMRY was landing on runway 10 and taking off opposite direction on 28. Fairly long delays. Lots of air tanker activity.

Was going to fly KLAF to KCGF since we have a string of nice days this week, but ended flying commercial connecting thru KORD. Northern shore of NW Indiana as we turned west towards Chicago.

A wee bit tardy post - from last month, the Reno jet Gold Race on Sunday (one of the finest weekends for racing, weatherwise, I have enjoyed at Reno). The Swiss registered De Havilland Vampire was not as competitive as the Vampire that won two years ago (and was a total loss after crashing last year).

But this crew had the best tee-shirts of the weekend - a profile of the Vampire with the tag line "Black Planes Matter". And yes, the foreground "ornament" is a giveaway the shot was taken amongst the crazies in Section 3

Hey do you have a pic of the T shirt?

Required equipment for shooting a CAT 1 approach?

OK, I've scrolled past this pic a couple of times now. So, whats the back story with the cat? Are they considered optional equipment with Embraer now? Company cat? Got a mouse problem onboard?
