Based on input from PoAers, we have added a sub-forum to The Classifieds which is dedicated to purchase and sale of aircraft. This includes clubs and partnerships. The idea behind this is that people who are looking for one particular type (outright ownership, club, or partnership) might also consider any other of the types if the right opportunity came up.

Please note that the new sub-forum also allows for thread prefixes. The ones currently in place are "For Sale", "Wanted", "Sold", and "Closed." Please pick the appropriate prefix for your ad and also please change it when the ad changes state. Thread prefixes allow people to easily search for specific types of ads.

As always, we welcome any feedback on this change.

I think this is a pretty good idea. Also can we make it Thursday joke day instead of Friday I think if we move it forward it will be better for everybody's morale rather than having to wait until the end of the week. Thoughts?

How about just Joke or similar. Nobody seems to wait on Friday to post a joke (guilty) so Thursday will be the same. I dunno, Joke of The Week, Jokes Whenever, etc.

I thought the sub-forum WAS the joke.

You can always start a "Thursday joke day" thread or post your Friday joke day on Thursday. Sac may post his on Friday his time and have it be on Thursday your time, so if you feel morally obligated to follow the Friday rule, just send Sac your jokes on Thursday.

Regardless, though, the point of this thread was related to the addition of the sub-forum, so let's keep that on-topic please.

I thought the sub-forum WAS the joke.

Nope. See:

Another member (I forget who at this point) made a request in Flight Following that we have a sub-forum for aircraft sales. The idea sounded good, so we asked for input on how many would like to see that change and if we should make any other additions. We decided that the single additional sub-forum was the only one that made sense.

I just joined a flying club.

Cherokee 180

600 buy in.

Plane is almost always available.

Good deal?

Might want to start a new thread outside of classifieds.

A new sub-forum dedicated to clubs and partnerships is a great idea. Note that I have a partnership in a Turbo Commander for sale. Does anyone have a good template for a partnership agreement?

God Bless America

AOPA has one.

I'm selling a friend's 1963 172D for him. I owned the airplane for several years and sold it to him in 2006 when I decided to let my medical lapse and fly as a sport pilot. The owner is a retired UAL 747-400 captain who has recently lost his medical. I've listed it on Trade-A-Plane, and details are in the listing at https://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?listing_id=2314993.

Thanks for looking.
If you will make a new thread under this sub-forum, you might get a bit more interest and message traffic.

Other than that... It's a sharp looking plane and I hope it sells quickly!

Thanks, Mike. I'll start a new thread as you suggest and delete my post in this thread.

I just went through and moved a few aircraft threads to the "Aircraft, Clubs, and Partnerships - Buy and Sell" subforum.

Just a reminder that we have this subforum to make it easier to find aircraft for sale and wanted, per the request of the membership as The Classifieds can get cluttered. :)

Now would someone post a C90 or O-200 (no electrical system) powered J-3 for sale, preferably really cheap and include a tailwheel endorsement for some long-haired hippie with a ban hammer?! :D

You're a CFI, just go up and give yourself dual and sign off the endorsement! :D

Kinda reminds me of that time when @tonycondon signed off his boss for his MEI checkride, when the purpose of him getting the MEI was to turn around and give Tony the high altitude endorsement.

On one or two occasions I had to give @Laurie a flight review so she could turn around and give me one, too. ;)

I have a Mooney Turbo M20E based in Corona CA available for partnership. 380 hours since OH, Good paint and interior. PM if interested.

This will probably be more effective if you post it in the aforementioned subforum instead of this thread.
