Did MAKG1 take his business elsewhere?

He got wise, evidently. I knew I haven't seen him in awhile.

The last thread he posted to was about his bravo bust. I wonder if his disappearance had anything to so with it?

Oh my...

I wish him well.

He posted details about his flight, and then answered "yes" when asked on PoA if he busted Bravo. Not sure if that helped. Then he stopped posting. That's how it looks, anyway.

He was an opinionated poster with little tolerance for other opinions. To bad he couldn't adapt to accepting other points of view without embracing them.

Yes I noticed this too. I corrected him on a few things that weren't correct but he wasn't very receptive. Oh well.

I hate to say it but it has been nice around here lately...I completely agree with you

I don't know, I always thought he was alright, and knowledgeable.

Has anyone checked the FEMA camps? Perhaps he is secretly flying chemtrail planes maybe that is the punishment for busting Bravo now. You ever notice you never see him and bigfoot at the same time?

Wasn't he an astronomer or something similar? He seemed to disappear about the time of the eclipse.

I think he and Hemming formed a LLC to invest in Bitcoin to finance repurposed home solar panels to use as power for electric aircraft motors.

Cheers

He was called out on a double standard and he couldn't accept it.

While knowledgeable, he did not understand the limits of his knowledge, and often posted incorrect info with such an air of authority that it gave the impression he knew what he was talking about when he didn't. He regularly argued with a group of CFIIs and told them that they were wrong about various topics when he was still an instrument student.

Hmm, when I lived briefly in Germany, which has plenty of characters like that, I discovered they've got a cute name: besserwisser.

Just the same, I wish him well.

He was definitely knowledgeable...I don't think anyone disagrees with that

Sorry, but I do. I think he was a smart enough guy, but tended to be a "know-it-all" who was wrong many times. And was often very defensive when corrected. Had entertaining posts, though... like whenever he wanted to impress with "CAP-speak", which he did often.

I liked him. But I "met" him years ago on studentpilot.com.
I never engaged with him on any argumentational matters though so maybe I missed that side.

He always seemed like a bright guy to me. No love for foreflight though...

Haha, I was thinking along those lines myself. However, I was actually thinking that I doubt anyone would even notice if I quit showing up.

That's along my line of thinking. There might be a line..... what happened to that zeldman guy... .did he freeze in the Alaska winter or get lost in the mountains of New Mexico..?? aaaahhhh who cares. What's more important is whether a low wing or a high wing is better....and will an AOA keep the beer colder..??:lol::lol:

We'll just assume you've been converted into fertilizer by some wild beast.

People *may* notice I'm gone, but I'm positive nobody would care.

As I recall, you got a thread when you came back. More than one, even. Or was it more than once? ;)
mscard has some one start those for him when he leaves and then when he comes back he starts a new thread. :)
