Outside Air Temperature Gauge - Cherokee 140

Any recommendations on a basic outside air temperature gauge?
Just put this in my Baby Beech. Nice because most of the older aircraft have only an amp meter. This gives you a true picture of the electrical charging system. You should see about 14.1v as a charge for you battery. Remote pickup for OAT, east to install....I like it....:)

Several of the newer transponders can be hooked to an OAT probe, allowing it to show temp and some calculate density altitude also.

If you have an engine monitor or planning to put one in it may be smart just to use of of those that have so many different options.

Very interested. Where, how, does oat probe mount?

I have this one on my Cherokee. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/inpages/ei-instruments-carbtemp11.php?clickkey=5750

The OAT probe is mounted inside the inlet for the air box for the aux fuel pump. It measures slightly higher at temperature but it is out of the way and is one less thing sticking out of the fuselage. Which by the way I would like one less of. That unicorn OAT gauge needs to go and if someone made a kit to repair the hole it leaves, I'd sure buy it.
