Hello, I am new to this so I will get right to it. My father died back in December after being a pilot for 65 years. In cleaning out his estate we now have quite a few airplane parts. We have a Piper Vagabond which is definately a basket case. It has a Continental A65 engine. There is no fabric on it and it and it has only one wing. It has a seat, firewall, and several boxes of parts and cables, and several pieces of sheet metal which I think belong on the cowling. I have no idea if this is worth much or if anyone would be interested in it? I am located in northwest Ohio. I would love some feedback or offers. I need to get rid of this stuff. I also have both wings, landing gear, and the tail section for a Fisher 303. Thanks for any help!

List it on eBay, either piece by piece or for the lot?

If there's a type club you could try to garner some interest as well.

Just as important is paperwork. Do you have the title to the airplane? There are people out there who will pay for "paper" on the airplane.

A guy I know just sold a Vagabond project. for $2,100 minus the engine and instruments. The fuselage had new fabric on it. In this case, I am not sure the airframe itself has much value.

The money maker part of that project would be the engine if it was properly preserved.

Just off the cuff, not knowing anything more about this, I might make an offer in the $2,500 range for the whole pile of parts, Fischer parts included, although I don't know what I would do with them.

Yea $2,500 is pretty generous with only one wing. Probably better off parting it out.

Donate it to a school that can benefit from it. Your tax deduction will be more valuable than what you'll get from selling it, and it'll be much less trouble.

Make sure you take a picture of the parts with a pencil in the background..

I thought about asking $1000 for everything obo, I do not have any paper work on it. If interested or know someone who maybe you can text me at (419) 438-9048. Thank you all for your help and opinions.

What does a title to an airplane look like? Who issues it?

I've owned two planes and never had a title.
