You get to pick a car/truck/SUV of your choice (no budget involved) and a single pilot plane of your choice (also no budget), what would they be?

I think I would go with a TESLA Model X and a TBM 930

Should be interesting.

You are a wise man.

I'm with you on the TBM 930. That is one awesome ride. Really any of the TBM turboprops I would be happy with

For the vehicle of my choice, no budget, constraint, etc. I am somewhat embarrassed to say, but the Mercedex 6X6 would top the list. Unfortunately though, they're not road legal in the US (I asked) so that means my next top choice would be a fully restored Icon FJ40

Are any of the choices above practical? No. But this is fantasy, right?

Phenom 300 and a maybe a Chevy Tahoe. (You're covering the fuel right?)

If road legal does not matter, nothing comes close:

Land Rover Defender and Eclipse

I'd love a TBM 930, but it really wouldn't fit my mission right now. A Diamond DA62 would be perfect....I think. Can go low and slow to "crop check", and would be plenty fast for my ~300 nm trips, plus pretty efficient.

Vehicle, has to be a truck. Currently have a F350, think I'd go back to a Ram 3500 diesel.

I love the DA-62, but the lack of pressurization would be my lone complaint. 15-17 gallons per hour going 175 knots is pretty awesome

A brand new 2002 Silverado Z71 which is my current truck which I really like and the new ones they are making seem to be garbage. Probably a Carbon Cub.

Car: Old mustang convertible 64 1/2 - 67
Plane: Something with club seating. A36 maybe. Hell, a Caravan. I like the idea of hauling a group of friends somewhere.

TMB 950 and since I already have an electric car and I'm perfectly happy with that, I'd chose a new drop top C7 Chevy Corvette Z06... or, a 1966 drop top Chevy C2 Corvette with a 4 speed. I'm conflicted now!!

Auburn Boat-Tail Speedster and a Beech 17. You might as well arrive in style.

My 1962 Willys pickup upgraded with a turbo diesel, and generally overhauled and updated. For a plane a Sportsman 2+2 with all the upgrades and a Delta Hawk diesel engine.

M6 and a Grumman Tiger <-- Hahaha I crack myself up

More like a Sunbeam Tiger and Malibu M600.

For a vehicle... my first one. 1970 Chevy C-10, short wheel base, no power nothing. All it had was a heater, windows, straight 6 cylinder, granny gear 4 speed. That is all, not even an AM radio. I drove that thing all over Texas as a teenager. No money for a motel, just stretch out in the bed unless it is raining, then across the seat and sleep until we woke up, and on the road again.

For a plane, that is a hard one since I really don't fly for fun much. Maybe a Constellation.

P-51.

I'd sell the car to operate the mustang.

I don't have any friends to haul around. McLaren F1 and an F-16.

I'm just gonna go all out and say the Koenigsegg One to One

& I'm going to steal @TCABM 's idea and say a P-51.

On a budget, maybe a Sunbeam Tiger and a Grumman Tiger.

Money no object, P-51 Mustang and a Shelby GT350 Mustang.

I have a thing for symmetry.

Hmmm If I didn't have to pay for the maintenance, or fuel, or the purchase mine would be:

PC12. The true do all airplane and a GMC Sierra Denali HD diesel. If I was smart I would take a rare, new Porsche, and never drive it and just let it appreciate.

If I had to maintain but not buy

F33C bonanza, speed aerobatics, air conditioning... and a new Cadillac Escalade

Ooh. GMC Denali and Cessna Denali. Thanks for the reminder.

Buick? Cutlass and Cessna Cutlass
Jeep Cherokee and Piper Cherokee

I'd much rather fly/drive a Tiger over a Cutlass/Cherokee although I may make an exception for a Olds 442-w32 or a properly modded SJ or XJ.

Plane would be a turbine single, hard to choose, probably the TBM since it can be operated off grass, yet is fast. As 6PC says, the Caravan would be nice to take everyone and all their stuff. Car, probably some 911 variant.

Ultma GTR and a NXT Nemesis

The plane would be a Citation Mustang. Would love to own a light jet. Auto would probably be one of the new Tacoma TRD's.
