N11512 Is officially for sale.
1974 Cessna 150L

The aircraft has just completed its annual, zero hours since completion. Done by the meticulous and unforgiving North American Flight Services in Saratoga Springs New York. Since I have owned 11512 All maintenance has been on time and meticulous. We all know how this game works, and I have refused to participate in the small airport game where you slip an A&P cash for his signature while doing the work yourself and risking lives. Since I have owned the aircraft I have added a Garmin 327 TX, garmin 250xl moving map gps com (garmin refurb <200h) replaced the carburetor instead of rebuilding a sticky accelerator pump, and replaced a mag instead of rebuilding. Every annual and 100 hour done on time and by professionals that do not cut corners. The new avionics were installed by Bill Hanf at Green mountain Avionics. (6B0) Never has anything been skipped, skimped, or a corner cut. Main Wheel pants included.

Continental 200 appx. 1250 SMOH, (2000h TBO)
Actual compressions: #1 78/80 #2 78/80 #3 78/80 #4 76/80
Carb, L mag, GPS, TX, <200h

0 hours since out of annual. (North American Flight services, 5B2)

Interior 6/10
Paint 8/10

You can fight with crust old 150's and have to do a $4000 annual or you can get into one that needs absolutely nothing but insurance.

Asking $25k including delivery, or $21k if picking upplane 1.jpg plane 2.jpg plane 3.jpg

(* silly but obvious comment *)

Where's the picture with the pencil?

sorry, couldn't resist.

I think I know an A&P or 4 that would be offended at your insinuation that most will sell a signature for crap work. Or IAs that would sign invalid annuals. While I'm sure there are some out there, most folks and shops I talk to are likely just as good as your sales pitch shop. But since you've only had the airplane a couple of years, I'm a little concerned as to how it could asserted that it's been that well maintained if out of your hands... especially if it's a rental bird as advertised on the website.

Sorry, the sales pitchy-ness of this one just bugs me :)

The other cool thing is what had the tail number first

Not sure you get how owner assist annuals work, but good luck on your sale.

Side note, if you need someone in the NE to deliever it for you, I can do it for less than 4k if you're interested.

Wait...I've been keeping my planes at various small airports for the past 22 years. You mean to tell me all I had to do was slip the A&Ps some cash and they'd sign my maintenance for me? Why didn't they ever tell me this??? They probably had some stupid morales/integrity/lawfulness or something...
Here this whole time I've been doing it the "meticulous" way you describe. And when I've sold those planes I wasn't even smart enough to mention how I did it the meticulous way, like you did (and thus showing everyone just how special guys like you and me are). Silly me.

To be fair, that's the least of my concerns. A wheel pant weighs nothing. But nose-only is a rather unusual configuration.

Nothing? It's almost 20lbs.

To be honest, it doesn't really make big difference, but the plane in seen configuration isn't airworthy unless it's weighed that way and the equipment list updated (I bet you $5 it isn't).

Since when does a nose pant weigh 20lbs? All three are like 20lbs, so each would be more like 7.

The point wasn't the weight, the point was that the plane is not airworthy as seen. Mainly just a comment about "never cutting any corners" etc...

Well, to assert that it's not airworthy without seeing the paperwork is just as bad as the assertions he made :) Nose-wheel only isn't inherently unairworthy.

Hence the $5 bet. The equipment list doesn't know their individual weights, thus, all 3 have to be installed at the same time.
I don't think I've ever seen an updated W&B and equip list where it lists only the nosewheel bowl.
152 is different, 150 it's listed as a single item under "commuter equipment".

Ah, I gotcha.

Well, maybe OP will produce the W&B! lol

You weigh it, as my A/P- IA did a figure at a new WB. There is a real advantage to having the nose wheel pant but not the main pants.

What arm does your equipment list have for the nose pant?

He measured it. The datum plane is listed. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to install new equipment.

And that's why I said I'll bet 5 bucks OP's plane doesn't have it done this way - it's extremely rare for someone to go through all that trouble to remove the main wheel pants, since the original equipment list doesn't have the arm listed.

?

Removing the main wheel pants is easy, don't even have to take the wheels off, it's the nose pant where you got to get the nose wheel off the ground and pull the wheel off.

Read the whole story, I was talking about the paperwork to make it airworthy after you remove the main wheel pants but leave the nosewheel.

Don't cut corners, but they seemed to be cool with mounting a go pro here?

Technically that not a corner 8n grand scheme if things

That. When I got mine, it was running for a year with nose wheel pants only with proper W&B updated.
