Alright guys and gals, I'm making my first ever trek to OSH this year and bringing the Monkey with me. I managed to get him to NH, MA, ME, RI and CT. He's getting passed off to @CMongoose this Friday for a trip to VT, which will officially wrap up his New England tour.

Anyone interested in taking the lil' heathen from me for his next journey, please let me know.

You can find me at OSH by following the smell of whiskey and bacon.

That was a surprise picture, so didn't have time to get the monkey. Ford turned and coughed right at me (covered with his arm) and I said, "If you are going to cough in my face, then can I at least get my picture with you?" He laughed and my friend grabbed the shot.

The monkey did get a selfie earlier tho...

Ah, I don't need the monkey on my back. But I do plan on getting that bottle of Jeremiah Weed.
 
Finally updated The Monkey's logbook... covered 1,925 nm and 13 different GA airports (mileage and airports are only for flights done in single engine, did not count commercial flights). He also got a fun Norway trip out of the deal. He might be going up to VT this weekend and I plan to take him on one last flight next weekend.

@Sam D - Looks like you are the only taker. I'll shoot you a message with my contact info and we can see about meeting up at OSH. I should, uh, take a look at that bottle of JW, just to be sure you really have it and that you are trustworthy, though. :cool:
 
let's see if we can get him going somewhere he hasn't been!! c'mon, people, who's up for an adventure?!?!? is there a list of peeps going to The KOSH?

I can't wait to get into @Cajun_Flyer 's legs..........man that came out wrong...........I can't wait to get the legs ragin cajun flew with the monkey into the monkey map. it's been a while since that thing has been updated.

Where are you going? I'm heading down to east TN... eclipse falls on my birthday, which also happens to be my mom's birthday. So we are going to go up to the Smokies and howl at it together.

hmm... @CMongoose is taking him to Burlington this weekend... maybe you could meet up with him for an exchange.

Sounds like a plan! I have no idea where I'm going - won't know for a few days before the event. It's all contingent on weather forecasts. If the weather looks favorable I will go down to somewhere in TN or NC as that would be closest. But I'll fly to MO or NE if necessary, even WY east of the Rockies. Prolly have to see the eclipse from the air as I won't have reservations anywhere close enough, and all the airports along the totality path will be packed.

I wondered where in VT he was going! I'll have to ask him which day. Sunday I am planning to go on a hike with some local folks.

Probably months. But Cajun raised the bar so high ( I said 'high') and did so many cool things with the monkey it's unreal. Friggin Monkey went to NORWAY and met Han Solo. Met some of the ninety nines, got dunked in a tank, toured a tower........who can top this?!?
 
Where is the monkey's updated log? Looks like eman's signature is quite out of date.
 
Cheezus H Chr*st, that thing is still around? Last time I flew to Osh, I chickened out, and flew into Appleton instead. YMMV.

it's really only missing cajun's time with the little focker. but that's a whole lotta flying to add to the map. I started running into issues with most of the flight planning software out there because I had too many waypoints. some of the software was like "wtf are you doing, flying all over the country in one day on 50 gallons of fuel?!?!?"

If you guys end up needing the whole bottle for "quality assurance" at OSH, I can arrange to get another one to Sac. Only requirement is that all "quality assurance" must be documented. With photos. LOL.

actually when I visited my rents in FLA a coupl'a weeks ago, I went to the range with my pops for the first time ever. I shot a 9mm but he got an AR15. he couldn't hit the inside of the target range but it was fun shootin holes in paper with my ol' man.

The range I shoot at is kinda "high end" and very close to the Bronco's training facility. (We joined long before they were high end... now it's too dang far from the house and I keep wondering if I should keep even the grandfathered monthly cost... but intertia... I should probably quit being a member there... anyway...)

There's some holes in one of the side walls of one of the ranges about halfway down that have been patched in the concrete. So, I asked one day who shot the wall.

The range safety officer just shook his head and said, "Football players... full-auto..."
