Trolled a spammer in the for sale section

At some point, you should tell him you wired the money!
Yeah.

"Dear Sir,

I have been wired the money to your PA and my bank has told me that my money has been withdrawn. Your PA was kindly enough to have thanked me for the transfer. I am looking forward to receiving the unit.

Best regards,
Big D."

The joke may have run its course at this point, I agree. But man is he ever frustrated! That alone makes it worthwhile.

Yeah, but I'm at the beach this weekend, so I may email him a couple more times.

Dear scamass,

I am to be having small trouble with my bank. My large positive balance and multiple attempts to wire to you and your PA has raised some suspicion. I told them it was for a Garmin GPS and they said that sounded like a money laundering technique. I guess they are not pilots.

Please ship the unit to my A&P and once he receives and bench tests it I will do the needful to send your funds.

Kindly and Best Regards,

Jimbob@notanidiot.com

Sir,

I am unable to unlock my account. The banker reports that I need the sum of $300.00 American dollars to unlock my account to send the funds you desire. When I receive the $300.00 American dollars from you I will immediately send the funds required to make the transaction. Kindly inform me when the $300.00 American dollars has been sent.

Best regards,

^^^ Obviously he drove his own car with a temporary drivers license.

Make certain to use the word 'fortwith' at some point in the conversation.

Once you have had your fun, just send him a link to this thread. He can see all the fun we have had at his expense.
Nahh, link him to some horsey-porn site.

"Dear Sir,

I am very sorry to be hearing of the injuries to your PA. However, as I have already sent payment to your PA, please to kindly send the Garmin fortwith to me.

Best wishes,
B. Dog"

His assistant was involved in a "slight" car accident, but she's critical, but she'll be fine soon...this is just too good.

Has anyone else tried to Email this guy to see if he bites on "selling" to someone else yet?

So today, he comes up with a photo id from a guy in south Georgia along with that bank information, he's probably scammed him at some point! I looked the guy up on Facebook and sent him a message that someone was using his id to scam people. Of course, he could be the scammer, but I doubt it. I told him that James was an old friend!

That should cut off all lines of communication from him.:)
I know, but it hasn't, I just told him the wire was sent and my agent is faxing me a copy to send him! For a guy that works and travels so much, he sure keeps the emails going!!

You could tell him that because of the holiday, it could take a while for the bank transaction to go through. When he asks, "What holiday?", you could tell him you work through an international bank and they celebrate their nation's 5th independence anniversary or something.

Oh, great thinking... James is an old friend.!!! That should be good. Don't forget tot ask how ol' James is feeling after that bad airplane accident...

I think, like, fifty of us should offer to buy his Garmin.

big dog,

Which one did you inquire about..and which website? He just asked me which one I want and where I saw :D

It costs about $35 to put a stop payment on a personal ck. Send him a check with a stop payment on it.
It costs nothing to close an account, and re-open one when your checkbook gets "lost".

At some point, you tell him you're moving on - you've found a better deal. Then see how hard he chases you.

But you don't respond to his e-mails. You only post them here...

I told him I saw it on here, tell him it's the 430 WAAS unit my first post has the serial number

He doesn't seemed too concerned about James' health!! I need a next move, since my grandmother is in the hospital!!

He thinks my grandmother better soon!

Tell him your banker said he needs to talk to him directly, make up a name, and send Pep the main 1-800 customer care number at Citibank. That will tie him up in "press a number to speak to a representative" hell for awhile.

Send him a confirmation number.

or

Tell him the bank made a mistake and sent too much, he'll have to refund the extra and you'll send him the confirmation number after his check clears.

Note: on the off chance you actually reverse scam him, make sure not to carry it far enough that YOU get in trouble for fraud!

No danger, I think I will put him on ignore, I am getting bored!
