Wedding Imminent

Our pastor started off his words after we're all up there with...

"The Indianapolis 500..."

Way back in 1995. Not kidding. LOL.

The weird stuff you'll remember... it'll be like your first solo that way... odd little details you can pull up many years later...

Have fun!

So is it done yet? I never knew how happy I could be until I got married. Dammit!

Twenty....something years here. I think it's 28, but I'm too tired to the math right now. Congratulations.

The big question - would/will you let her fly your airplane? With you in it?

He just posted that mirror photo about an hour and half ago, so he's probably saying his "I do's" as I type this. We'll soon know if he went through with it or 'accidentally' got sidetracked in the casino. ;)

It is done.

Honestly not as bad as I expected. Tearful eyes and etc but I expected that. My jaw about hit the floor when she walked in.

Walking around the casino floor for pictures was surreal with more than a few people saying congratulations and wishing us the best. And some taking pictures themselves. Weird but whatever.

Thanks for the distraction and the well wishes. Stuff is getting busy with the reception and I'll reply with pics later for proof as per internet protocol.

In Vegas. About to get married today. Things are going pretty well. No stress whatsoever.
Help refresh my memory: Is this the same girl (woman) that was supposed to meet up with you in Denver? Didn't she have some sort of health problem or something? Or am I getting confused?
If I am right, I hope all is well with her now.

Married 24 years next month. To the same woman, believe it or not.

Soon, like many of us, you will become a staunch opponent of same-sex marriage. Once you're married, it's just the same old sex, over and over.....

Glad to hear, congratulations!

Absolutely positively yes. With flight training of course:)

She is. We have known each other since high school (2008), been together (and mostly living together) for 4, engaged for 1.5. I proposed just before the Denver job and around then she had a workmans comp related knee surgery and shortly after a pilonoidal cyst. She is recovered now though! We would have been married sooner but all of that prevented it.

Pull the chute! Pull the chute!
Oh. Too late.
Congratulations.

It will be 37 years for me in October.

The art of compromise in a marriage goes like this:
She wants red.
You want blue.
You compromise on red.

Easy huh?

My fiance and I are planning our wedding right now as well.....I can't emphasize enough on how true that rings in my ears....

Since the thread has turned to marriage counseling let's offer this simple truth many miss.

Ultimately the key to a successful marriage is finding someone who will put up with your crap. The marriage will work even better if you admit you are full of crap and try to minimize it. Then you need to show a lifetime of appreciation to her/him for suffering basically in silence. If she/he doesn't suffer in silence then you will split up eventually and you will be out searching for someone else who will.

Nor any bacon, or any other form of protein. How can you have breakfast without bacon? Or at least sausage. o_O Sheesh.

Congrats on your wedding.

It was part of the room package. We thought there would be hot food but these mimosas are making up for it!

Mimosas are always a good idea in the morning! Congrats, man!
