Good restaurants in/near Oshkosh?

Anyone have a list of good restaurants in or near Oshkosh?
By good, I mean something more than deep-fried frozen brats. Local places, not chains, reasonably healthy, where you'd take your family.

Here are some of my regulars.

Wendt's (On the lake) - Perch and Roast Beef. Warning: No Credit Cards (they do have an ATM). US45 about 3 miles south of the airport.
Friar Tuck's - Sandwiches, onion soup. Nothing great, but closest to the field (just north of the north 40).
Bienvenuto's Italian Grill - US 41 north of 9th in the strip mall - Family oriented Italian
Ardy and Ed's - Retro drive in with roller skating car hops. Main St & 24th
Leon's - Another drive in. Mostly ice cream sundaes and such. Murdock about halfway between US-45 and Main St.
Fox River Brewing Company (formerly Fratellos) - lots of outside seating during the show. Menu toned down to less hauty quisine. Oshkosh Avenue @ the river
Lara's Tortilla Flats - Mexican. North Main, just north of Irving.
Roxy Supper Club - good roast beef, a local stanard - Main street @ Parkway
 
Get a ribeye sandwich at that twitchy monk place. What's it called? It's not twitchy. Not even close but something monk. Great food. Great beers

Ardy and Ed's is legit. Well worth the Uber ride over there. Nice views of the lake, too. It's usually busy, and the service is slow, slow, slow, but the food is good.
 
The White House in Butte de Morts (pronounce Byoo-DIM-Urr) is good.

If you want to go to Appleton, Carmella's Italian Bistro is good.

The other place you were thinking about is probably Robbins. They went out of business a while back.

Yes, Robbins sounds right. My uncle was the general contractor there when they did a remodel a few decades back.
 
Dockside and Beckets are good up by the channel. Lots of outdoor seating so the weather matters.

Also Dublin's Irish Pub is dependable and fun.
 
I was also going to mention LaSure's. Used to be primarily for breakfast, but they've expanded and do excellent catering as well.
US-44 and 20th st (NE corner of the airport).
 
If you don't mind driving about 20 mi NW of OSH to a town called Hortonville, there's the Black Otter.

They have awesome prime rib. The Queen cut is 32oz! Some of the best prime rib I've had, and that 32oz'er goes for $28.95
 
Try Blanck's Supper Club in Johnsburg. It's a bit off the beaten path, but the food is good and the prices are too. Their porterhouse steak brings to mind "The Old 96'er," but it is very good & tender.

Going to have to second Wendy's. The Roxy is usually good, as well, but not like it was back in the 80's.

A good breakfast at the hilton beats most of the food inside the show. Only worth it if you are already in the n40.
 
Lots of really good food is cooked right there in the North 40. I know I do my part to make all my fellow campers hungry with the smells coming from my camp. :)

Last year, the buddy I came to Osh with got there before I did and picked just about the most remote campsite possible... in Camp Scholler, directly next to the frontage road, under a billboard. Needless to say, its proximity to the highway was not ideal (but we were directly under the flight path for the ultralights, which was fun).

Anyway, I made bacon every morning, and any time there was a line of cars to get into Osh on the frontage road, I was making all of the folks in their cars quite jealous with the smells of coffee and home-cured and smoked bacon. :D
