A friend of mine is looking for information on this company:

Phil Johnson Engineering
705 Vesta St.
Inglewood, Ca

Apparently at one time (1980's) they made small aircraft tugs. Electric powered, with an American Bosch motor. He needs help finding parts. Does anyone here have such a tug or know someone who does?
Google searching yields nothing. ike they went "poof" just before Al Gore started the internet.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Phil moved to Reno after retirement. I doubt if anyone has parts for his tugs.

I bought a Philip Johnson Engineering tow, with a 2-stroke weed eater type motor, forward and reverse tranny, reduction gear drive to tranny, and chain drive to the differential, drive wheels near operator, large metal casters next to lazy susan tray. It was absolutely excellent. I'm finally getting back to flying after 19 years and I wish I had that Phil Johnson Engineering airplane tow back. If anyone knows where one can be obtained, I would like to buy one again.

i have a phil johnson eng. port-o-car. do you have any info on them.

It's the cars in pictures 1 and 3 that got my attention. Pic 1 has an AMC Pacer. Pic 3 appears to have a Chevy Vega (fill the oil and check the gas), a Chevy Impala, and a GM wagon of some sort. On the other side of the street we find a Ford Pinto, Honda Civic?, Datsun 210?, Ford Thunderbird. These are just what I dredged up from my memory so they could be wrong.

I will try and upload some pictures. It is more like a motorcycle/trike. It can come apart in 3 pieces and fold up. It has a 97 cc motor on the front wheel, chain driven. It was even street legal, it hase a license plate and federal safety plate. Tried to upload pictures, says my files are to big. Will try and figure it out.
