Closed Central Texas Pilots - Free Photos

Wow Great photos!
I sent you an email.

Nice photography work. Sadly I neither have a plane nor live in TX or I would so take you up on this offer.

Nice photos, Jack! What kind of setup do you use? I'd love to get into aerial photography myself, but life and my real job are the current roadblocks. I have been able to snag a few commercial shoots on the ground though.

BTW, I'm nowhere near Central TX, otherwise I'd take you up on this!

Thanks Scott. Email returned. We'll get something setup soon.

Thank you! Yeah, that would make it hard!

I use Canon equipment. Mostly my 5D Mark iii, and a 70-200 F2.8is ii lens. This allows me to get sharp photos without getting too close!

What a nice offer. Wish I was near TX! Your photos are some of the best I've seen! Have a great Christmas and have fun flying, taking the pics!

Been awhile Jack, but again, amazing pics. See if Bryan will pull and get one of that! :D

Thanks! You've been one of my biggest supporters and it means a lot.

I hope N31FB really was a Thunderbird pilot in a past life. Otherwise, that's damned presumptuous.

Or maybe his son is... not sure how it's anyone's concern though. I just take the photos.

Agree with Jack, not anyone's concern. There's plenty of planes painted up w/ military schemes. Had a friend with one painted up like a Blue Angel. Obvious N31FB is not flying an F-16.

Nice. Do you hand hold while flying, or is there some sort of mount you use?

Looks like there's gonna be a few happy pilots around Central Texas! You won't be disappointed with the pictures and Jack is the nicest of guys around!

There was a fellow a while back had an ultralight painted up like Air Force One. Don't think he was an Air Force One pilot.

Yeah and how dare those CAF guys fly those warbirds with military paint schemes. Who the eff do they think they are? :frown2:

The pilot in question was a ground instructor in the Air Force and obviously has a passion for flying and the Air Force. He is also paying homage to those he respects and admires. Ain't nothing wrong with that!

Wow I had a great photo shoot today with Jack!!!
It was a pleasure meeting Jack, great day to fly.
Looking forward to getting the photos after he works his magic on them.

I had a great time today too! Nice to meet you. I've got a lot of editing to do, but I can't leave you hanging! Here are a few... more to come soon.

Absolutely agree, Jack is a cool guy (well, he's a pilot, ain't he? :D ) and his pictures are always composed well.
Once day, I might get pictures of my plane. But it is OVC today again. :(
Maybe we can "shoot" for a photo "shoot" en-route to a burger in Cameron one weekend, Jack? I am buying, of course.

Travis is always getting his photo taken since we fly together, so he doesn't really count as taking me up on the free photos! It's always fun to practice though!

Your pictures are so nice. T74 is a little too far away though...:(

Scott and I sure enjoyed meeting you today, Jack. The flight was great, and your 140 is awesome! I enjoyed seeing more of your work, too.

I hope your hands have thawed out by now.

Just about thawed out! Happy to meet you guys!

Well, as some of you probably saw on another post, the EAA has asked me to be one of their volunteer photographers at AirVenture! I'm pretty excited about it. I can use all of the practice I can get between now and then. So, as of now, the offer of free air-to-air photography still stands. Send me a PM, email me at jackfleetwood(at)yahoo.com and we'll see if we can work something out. I've got a couple of you that were interested and we've just had a streak of bad weather for pics, but I'm ready when it works out.

Jack - I think I just sent you an e-mail :) sometimes things work and sometimes they don't LOL

I will probably be trying to plan a XC from KFTG down to KALI so may be in your neck of the woods - depending on where that is.

Check your e-mail and let me know.

Thanks

Dean

Thanks Dean, I will respond to your email. A direct flight from KFTG to KALI puts you within 100 miles of me at T74, but I've been wanting to do some shots around KAQO, so I might be able to knock 50 or more miles off of the deviation!

@Lowflynjack, I always love looking at your pics, they are amazing! Have you ever thought of making a calendar or something with those photos. I know I would want one!

Thank you! I really appreciate all of the kind words from the POA crowd. I do put out a calendar every year, but not sure if I've offered it here. It's a little late to buy this year's calendar, but here's the link so you can see what it looks like.

7500!
Congratulations, that seems like a big honor to be REQUESTED to take pictures at Oshkosh, neat!
Make us proud and show them what Texans can do!
