This is a friendly reminder from the MC that tags that you add to your thread are also subject to RoC enforcement. There have been a few added lately that I would say don't meet the "family friendly" tone that the MC asks everyone to keep. I'm going to clean up a few now. Please consider this the one and only free pass. Please don't test to see if I'm telling the truth. Only the OP of a thread can add tags, so we know who did it (I also have full accounting in the database).

No need to discuss past infractions here. If you don't know what tags are, think about them as a post author self-classifying their content. Similar to using #hashtags on twitter or Facebook.

Remember some o us don't have a clue what a "TAG " is.
Which is why I added the explanation of what they were in my second paragraph. And if you don't use them then you have no reason to worry.

If I link a Good deal on "barnstormers" is that a TAG?

just think of them as 'a way some people used to have fun on PoA'. I actually don't think I ever used a tag but some people were experts in creative tagging and it made for a good laugh.

Where do I buy the secret encoder ring to gain a better understanding of this thread?

take a look at jason's screenshot. people would create a new thread and create funny horrible tags that are no longer acceptable PoA behavior.

So we can't joke around about AOA? I'm with Tom, still not clear on what a tag is. Better explanation please. I don't Twitter or Facebook either.
"Friendly reminder" and "rules of conduct" are tags. The thread starter can add them, but not anyone else, because people have abused that function in the past. Don't worry, Jason had to explain their usefulness, in the context of this board, to me too.

So those blue thingies w/ words inside, like 'friendly reminder' ? Boobs are still golden?

Just a note, Tapatalk doesn't show tags, or at least I can't see them. So just don't put a # before your inappropriate word (or don't use inappropriate word at all, but that's gonna be very hard for some people)

Check the RoC. They've been mentioned in there for years. As is always the case it's only a small minority that push it too far. This is simply a notice that we're going to start enforcing the existing rules.

Maybe a public spanking would explain it better.

Tags? I have never noticed them. They aren’t visible in Tapatalk, are they?

After reading this thread, I viewed it using a browser, and sure enough beliw the thread title there are a couple of highlighted words — the tags that Jason speaks of.
