Hi all,

I am looking to do a flying summer vacation in Alaska! Looking for recommendations on seaplane and bush flying places to get my seaplane rating.

This place is owned and run by a fellow named Don Lee. I used to fly with him back in the day. He's had some article written about him by Jeff Skyles in EAA's Sport Pilot. Don't think you can go wrong learning with him.

Thanks! Will check it out. Never been to Alaska and figured it would be a fun way to spend a vacation and get a new rating.

Since I'm no longer available, I strongly 2nd Donnie.

While you're there see if he can get you a deal to go up with his brother David (Sheldon Air Service) and see the Mountain and land on the glacier, maybe in the Beaver.

Tell em all PJ say's hi.

Got a multi rating?

This is the place I hope to go one of these days:

Not yet, will get it eventually. Tons of add on ratings one can get. Time and money are the limits.

That does look like an awesome place and way to get the MES ratings! Would love to learn to fly and have the chance to fly a Goose! The scenes of it in the Expendables movies make it a very cool factor.
