$10/$17 FLYING Subscription

Flying these days is about the size of a small pamphlet. When Mac and others left after the new management took over, it's gone downhill.

Perusing through Amazon and came across this:
$10 for a yearly, or $17 one-time yearly.

The $10 is for automatic renewal so that they can bill you the regular rate when it's time to renew. If I want a particular magazine I'll call and ask for the special rate ($10 in this case) and to send me a bill. I will not give them my card #. One of the few times I write a check.

I like Martha's column but that's about it. Les Bend's seem to stretch for a story to write. The Doc who flies 135 is OK but I could take or leave him.

If you ignore them on a renewal they will offer it to you for $10, or as low as $5. Of course, that is a renewal.

Just like AOPA right?

Of course I've been offered a "free" penlight flashlight to reup! That's like the 4th or 5th attempt to get me back.

I certainly didn't buy it but I thought I'd offer up here for the old geezers who still like paper. ;)

I subscript. Im tired of Garmin brochures and Vanity Fare on top of the pooper.

If I did not get it free as a perk from NAFI I would not buy it.

Peter Garrison is worth the subscription for me. . .
