Any Suggestions on a good VPN Client for iPad?

Looking for something that provides simplified access back to my office workstation while I am travelling. And not needing to do major heavy work while away. More accessing my yard software to take a peak at what's happening and what the teams are doing.

Do you already have the VPN endpoint? if so, the best client is (usually) the one that is supplied by the manufacturer to work with it. For example, Sonicwall firewall/endpoints work best with the Sonicwall NetExtender (SSL) or Sonicwall IPSec clients. Likewise Cisco. And OpenVPN.

As I recall, the iPad has a somewhat less secure client already built in that works with PPTP and maybe another protocol.

There are a few multi-VPN clients (like GreenBow), but not all of them work on iPads/Macs, and not all of them work with all endpoints.

I do have Remote Desktop going and working on laptop to desktop when I needed it in Spring Summer while on Win7Pro.

I haven't had a need to check to see if that remained active since migrating to Win10, so I'll need to double check that.

And I should mention that the cost needs to be reasonably low and one time (no subscription), since this is not a frequent need.

iOS has a built-in VPN client. L2TP, PPTP, and IPSec protocols are supported(as of iOS9). Maybe others as well in newer version.

What is the app I need?

Parallels gives me iPhone and iPad access to my Windows and Macbook machines. iCloud Drive works for my Macbook.
