I currently use WingXPro on my iPad for charts and flight planning. WingXPro uses Duats to file flight plans, but sometimes it says a flight plan was filed, but fss sometimes says no flight plan was filed. Does anyone else have this problem, and how can I work around this?

Is there another way to file a flight plan over the internet? Before I used WingXPro I used Foreflight, and before that it was a regular phone call.

Also, if I filed directly on duats.com, will it have this issue, or is it just WingXPro?

There are probably a dozen ways to file flight plans online. Most if not all of the apps. Websites from AOPA to Skyvector. Everyone has their favorite. Mine is FltPlan.com (you don't need their Go! App to do it) when I'm not doing it through ForeFlight.

But if you are having trouble with your app, I guess you can try the DUAT website, but at this point, why not just go to the source at 1800wxbrief.com? That's where what is being filed by most of the apps and other websites goes anyway and the website keep getting more robust.

Duats prior to having WingX. I tried, but had similar results as you with WingX, so back to duats.com I went. Most of my plans are stored, so fairly quick and easy for me, thus I have not pursued the WingX issue.

I always call it in with FSS. Many of these websites and apps make it way more difficult than it needs to be. I find it just as easy to pick up the phone, read off your plan to a briefer and be done.
