Five fun airplanes for sale

These are always fun. Thanks for posting them.
Thanks! I enjoy making them. Always fun looking at planes, and if not buying, at least dreaming about them!

Nice post, what happened to the front wheel.

x3, that is not alot for a class a redo of a classic . you can rack up 75k real quick doing a real rebuild of a champ, cub ,talorcraft. why do you think a new champ is $150k and all of the stuff cubcrafters are selling are $200k ,heck whats a new skyhawk now $450 . Quality parts and labor cost real $. you are just not making enough or made poor investment choices.

Almost $150k of the purchase price of a new Cessna 172 is for insurance premiums. Probably a large amount of Cub Crafters' prices, too, and every other certificated aircraft. Blame the lawyers and the ignorant juries.

Where did you find that $150K number? Is there a documented source you can point to?

Seen lots of nice Champs, T-Crafts and Luscombs for around $25k with reasonable time on the engine. Cubs draw a premium but I still think $47k is overpriced, no matter how nice.

New production is whatever the market will bear.

Cheers

x3 wtf do you really know about the" niceness" of a 1946 aircraft . an average of adds in barnstormers!! Have you ever restored one ,or you a tire kicker/looker .you even have a pilots license ? i just bought a pair of new K2 snow skies for fifty cents new in the box except when the shipment arrived there was only one ski .ask someone to explain this post to you.good things cost real money,if you are really buying and not dreaming.

If you want to put $75k in a 1946 airplane, be my guest. I've been flying almost as long as the 1946 airplanes have been around, from Champs and Cubs to F-14's and C-17's and lot in between. If the market says a Cub is worth $30k, $47k, $75k or $1 million, it will sell at that price.

Have a nice day if you can.

Is it your Cub you're trying to sell?

Man who peed in your Wheaties. I agree, no way I would pay that for a Cub. Someone will undoubtedly.
