14th Annual N40 "H.O.P.S. Party" Invitation

I thought they pulled that stuff off the market years ago.

I got mine like 2 weeks ago. I'm surprised they're still going out!
I was just kidding man. But if you drink that stuff,I guess it's fine.

Edit: oh you meant the NOTAM. Carry on.

I believe you're thinking of Four Loco, combination energy drink and malt liquor. The FDA decided that two perfectly legal things (alcohol and caffeine) we illegal if mixed together. Gotta love the FDA. You can do the same thing if you mix your favorite energy drink with your favorite booze. Probably taste better too.

Actually, I had one of those things before they were done away with, and it was a long way from bad.

We also hope to attend your party, Jay, but unfortunately whatever spirits we contribute will probably be purchased locally in the Oshkosh area. Central Illinois isn't known as a a craft beer Mecca, plus our airplane is getting very close to its weight and balance limits. :)

I was having that problem forever. I got a bigger airplane.

Heck yes!
That sounds like a good way to kick things off.

No worries. Pick N Save is within walking distance of the North 40, has a nice, big, walk-in beer cooler, and has an excellent selection of beers!

Launch for KOSH 07-20-2016 @ 0700, hopefully.
If you care to follow my progress:

Kiss my internet privacy good bye.

If VFR pilots would like to have a record of your flight on Flight Aware it is quite easy.
1. Just file an IFR flight plan, how ever way is convienient, ForeFlight, Web, phone, etc.
2. Do not pick up the IFR clearance. When you take off ask for Flight Following.
3. When the system starts to receive your discrete transponder code you will be tracked.

this seems shady

It is the way the FAA system works. If you use flight following on a VFR flight you will be tracked while in the air. However, the flight record is not kept in the system after you land. The steps above will keep a permanent record.

It only works if the controller you pick up flight following with finds your "IFR" plan. If he doesn't grab the prefiled one but creates a new one, it is no different than if you'd not bothered to file one at all.

My daughter is 22, and this is her 22nd OSH.

Our son had a string of 20 in a row going, but the Army had other plans for him. He will be back with us this year!

This was the party, one year ago today! See y'all next Wednesday!

T-minus 23 hours till launch.

Well, as long as you were enjoying yourself while I camped at an outlying airport because they were 'full', I suppose it's fine.

I'm not seeing a proper emoticon for my take on the matter.

Oh, no one lost a campsite due to the party. We just flow around the adjacent sites.

Besides, all the neighbors are in attendance! lol

Are alternative forms of admission acceptable for those who can't purchase or consume alcohol due to age or other circumstances?

Sure! The beer thing is just for fun. If you're a non-drinker, bring a good soda pop to share.

T-minus 20 minutes to launch!

Ah, very cool.

I am not a member of the Vans community, but if I showed up and asked them which model I should build, would I be welcome?
Yes thats all you would have to do, and they wouldn't leave you alone until you agreed that the model they built was the best. lol
