Leave me in charge of preparing the cole slaw. Yes I understand it damn near impossible to **** up cole slaw, but even I can't choke any more of that vile crap down.

But dude, ALL of the tri tip is gone. Gone, like, ate all. Like, dude, **** you and your cole slaw but your tri tip is as smooth as your aunts sister was, and actually it was your mother but I didn't want to **** you off so we're keeeping things generic here.

**** I need to open aother bottle of Jameson.

Somebody edit this for me so I appear PC. Or at lest 6PC.

The PC ship sailed and there is never a reason to eat cole slaw (no taste, no nutrients, etc.). I'll take a couple shots of Jameson, though.

Yeah but I need some roughage. Not sure why, some primal requirement I guess. But I will have another couple shots. Or four. Or eight. Or whatever.

Cole slop sucks.

Tri tip eh? Lots of killer tri tip in the 805.

The creamy kind of slaw or the vinegar kind of slaw?

And it is poor form to not pace youself between the meat and the sides.

Look I googled it I don't know what the **** I'm doing.

ever notice how there's NO exciting stories about cole slaw? like, ever?!??! way to keep it going, sac!

This my new favorite POA thread about cole slaw.

My best cole slaw advice I can provide:

A Reuben sandwich typically has sauerkraut on it. I highly recommend getting cole slaw on the sandwich instead of the kraut. Makes a world of difference.

If your cole slaw is vile you are doing it wrong. Besides that the cabbage cleans out your insides on the way through.

You probably put pineapple in it and for that sin sir there may be some question as to where you will be spending eternity.

So my stepson used to go to school right next to the Marzetti plant. When we'd drop him off, we'd often be treated to the aroma of freshly batched thousand island dressing.

This was all good until the storm drains backed up one summer during some heavy rains. Right into the apartments across the street. Thankfully I didn't have coleslaw dressing in my toilet. . .but some of the places close by were pretty messed up! It wasn't but it could have been exciting.

So now that I'm sobered up right, I noticed most of the cole slaw is still there. I used mayo, the juice from a lemon off the tree, and some balsamic vinegar.

Balsamic vinegar is good, but not on cole slaw.

Coleslaw on fish with cheese and cocktail sauce used to be my daily lunch on Catalina.

I like my recipe with the julienned peppers and the spicy peanut butter mayonnaise. If I make it white I always make my own mayo. The stuff you purchase in the jars is vile.

People be talking about cole slaw everywhere BUT the cole slaw thread. Sigh.

The perfect Irony would be for Captain to post here instead on the welcome back thread that is now all about cole slaw.

I don't know why we are even having this discussion.

Make a bowl of cole slaw. Make a plate of deviled eggs. Set them out. Come back in 5 minutes. End of discussion.

The deviled eggs are a whole lot easier to pilfer than the cole slaw. I'm pretty sure I know how that's going to turn out.

Shredded cabbage
about .125 cup of onion or less cut very fine
about 1.5-2 cups mayo
about .75-1 cup of vinegar
about .125 cups of spicy brown mustard you can use dry but use less
about .125 cups of sugar
tablespoon of celery seed
Salt and pepper to taste

I say about because I never measure.

None of the above. I'm not a carnie.

I think I'm going to try it again tonight. Drinking starts in about twenty five minutes, or as quickly as I can sneak past the receptionist and beat traffic downtown.
