The Saga continues

Couldn’t resist anymore, I went down to the shop this morning with the intent of looking at my saw and trying to improve the fence system. I took it apart saw no way to do any good and decided on a ride to home depot. I ended up with a new saw and it appears to be a solid fence system that I can have a little trust in.

Since I got my mahogany plywood in 2 weeks ago I haven’t cut any of it yet for the sake of need and fear. I don’t need to cut it yet and fear that with my lacking skills and poor saw I was going to end up with a bunch of miss cut pieces or mahogany scrap wood. With the costs of the wood its an idea I am not fond of. So I got me a new saw. The roybi, my shop looks like the Roybi display at home depot, miter saw, router and table and now table saw.

I cut a piece of junk wood the other night and realized just how bad my saw was and how much skill it required to compensate to get a good cut. I dont have that skill level yet. No tempting reality, its all about the tools, so I got me some new ones today again! that’s 3 Saturdays and 3 new power tools.

Either I am gonna end up with an airplane or have one hell of a yard sale Roybi tools and all!

You're building a mahogany fence? I was just wondering how hard it would be to fix my picket fence myself. I'm sure I'll be the guy where the neighbors will say, "Look at him "work." Think he'll finish this month?"

New circular saws come with crap blades. Go out and get a good blade then use a strait piece of lumber clamped to the wood as a guide and all of your cuts will look great.

I should have purchased a skill saw, an easire name to remember and less prone to spelling errors. Thanks for pointing that tidbit out to me, I would not want to upset my friends at RYOBI.
