Warbird information exchange, then go to " Grumman" you may be amazed at the length and depth of the pictures about WW2 and Grummans role in helping win the war! Also amazing how Grumman treated their employees. first Class.

My dad worked there for 30 years they were a great company.

Yeah, I remember seeing something about a ship carrying their planes into theatre getting sunk and the whole work force coming in on a weekend, uncrating a bunch of spare parts ready for shipment and assembling the planes that were lost.

It takes some time to go thru these pictures. If you consider the many others besides Grumman during this time, who manufactured planes! tanks! arms etc. it's easy to see how govt. Spending ended the depression! Millions of jobs were available. Even the company owner who crated the aircraft for Grumman became a millionaire. Amazing photos. ( my wife's mother was a riveter on Martin maraduers , later a secretary)

Don't forget the Manhattan Project, that was a huge labor force. We could do the same again.

And don't forget how politics screwed Oppenheimer. They screwed him over very badly. ( and they are doing the same right now)

Yep, complain when your work is only used for destruction, especially when that destruction has the potential to eradicate our species, and get branded a Communist and considered an enemy.:rolleyes2:

We didn't need to have a Cold War after WWII, we no longer needed access to Soviet oil fields and markets.
