[GoPro Video] For your entertainment: XC to Key West FL in a C152.

What is the reasoning for wearing epaulettes on a training flight in a 152? Is it some kind of rule?

The students wear the uniforms. It's the Flight School's policy if they are training in the career path from private to commercial.

Good stuff bud. The shots skirting along the bases once you broke out of the precip layer were stunning!

Being that so many people use GoPros in airplanes can they not make one with a frame rate or CCD that won't produce those ridiculous looking propeller artifacts? The old tape media digicams never did it.

What about students that don't jerk off to the thought of being an airline pilot?

Lol

I can't stand flight school students and instructors that wear pilot uniforms. It puts way too much emphasis on how many damn bars are on your shoulder. They are going to be extremely disappointed when they go from their mighty 4-bars (maybe they are type rated in the Piper Arrow or Beechcraft Duchess) back to 3-bars when they get slapped in the face with the realization that they are on the lowest part of the proverbial pilot totem pole. So far all it symbolizes is that they gave some flight school a check and they love when people ask them "hey, are you real pilot?!?".

On that note, here is a great video by Paul Bertorelli :
