Denver Later this Month

Definitely! Any specific day?

If anyone is headed to Oshkosh, closer to the 25th is better than the 29th, since they'll be gone.

Just pointing that out. OSH is still not looking good for me this year.

Do you guys ever meet on the north side of town - say, closer to BJC or thereabouts? Would love to join and meet y'all someday (if you'd let me). :)

Thanks,
Trevor

Well, to be honest, although I'm parking at KAPA my business takes me to the Commerce City area. But, I figure I'll go where it's easiest for the most people.

If you're going to Commerce City, may as well park at BJC and save some traffic hassle. Heck, even FTG is better than APA for Commerce City.

I'd say FTG is perfect. I-70 to 270, done. Watch for the remnants of the Stapleton runway overpasses... There's just the tiniest bit of them left... ;)

It is further on a map, but traffic and speed limit wise, FTG is your best bet.

The I-25 to I-70, or I-25 to 225 to 70... Both are traffic cluster****s from APA north most of the day nowadays. I hate I-25 with a passion.

Hmm, the Hertz website states that there isn't a rental office and that services are provided by the office at Denver International Airport.

Heh. Well stuff does kinda go to FTG to die, so a phone call might be worth it. ;)

Yup, FTG is "hidden" in the Hertz system. Call the FBO for car rental.

The FBO keeps 4-5 Hertz cars at FTG. Call them at 303-261-9100 to reserve one. If what you want isn't in the lot, they'll get one from DIA, about 15-20 min drive.

Must be for all the secret visits to the secret lair underneath DIA. LOL!

Another "if it's on the web must be true"

Name the date and time, and I will make it this time - maybe the wife'll come too.

Or the FBO has an agreement to drive vehicles over. That's how it works at SilverHawk in Lincoln, but at least Enterprise's system actually shows the location. They leave a couple of cars over there, but they're technically under the Airport main terminal's rental franchise.

The Hertz website does show that there is available service at FTG. The issue is that the true office is at Denver Intl. My voucher has to be processed in person. I figure it's worth going to another airport to save $200.

Ahhhh that makes more sense. One if those "must be present to win" games. ;)

Definitely t-storm and hail season. Might ask who's got hangar space if such things are a worry.

1/4" hail at my place today for about 10 minutes, continuous... after I was on the back side of this little beastie.

I was at FTG this evening (too windy to get night current) but I specifically asked if they'd honor the Hertz certificate - a definite YES. And no problems if you need to be hangared. Don't always believe the website.

For confirmation, call 303-261-9100 and ask for Laura, Amber, Carolyn or anyone who answers the phone.

So do we have a specific date? TPL's gotten very popular, so reservations are always recommended.

Day, time, quantity.

Lol. I am supposed to be up there on the 24th...lemme see if I can reschedule my meeting for the 25th instead.

I tossed a note on the calendar. Will see how it goes... Would be nice to see everyone.

I think we decided on Sunday the 28th. Haven't picked a time, however. I want to wakeup Monday morning pretty early.

Did we pick a place? Where did you end up? Why don't you pick the time too? I'm pretty flexible as long as I remember to wake up from my nap! :)

Perfect Landing. 6pm. I'm at KAPA.

Ok, 6pm at Perfect Landing tomorrow (Sunday the 28th). Should we try to get a quick count? I don't know how busy they would be on Sunday evening. Murphey?

I'm a solid "maybe" for tomorrow. The way my schedule is changing...who knows where I'll be tomorrow?

I will talk to the wife and see if we can get a babysitter.
