NorCal Meetings Eternal page

Wish I was. Assuming I'm calmed down by then I'll pencil it in. Sundays are generally tough days to get away but I might be able to swing it.
Saturday or Sunday is good with me. Whatever works best for whoever is going.

Cool. There is a nice steakhouse / restaurant nearby. Here is their menu if you all want to do lunch:

Anyone going anywhere this weekend? I'm tryin' to figure out where to go...

This weekend? Probably not. Fathers Day and an oil change. Tonight I'm going to battle the TFR with an out of town POA pilot. Going to KHAF but not eating there since the Marine Layer might ruin our night.

The TFR's are little Biden-sized ones, you should be able to avoid them. The current weather pattern is not conducive for the usual marine layer but of course that could change.

Maybe not the marine layer, but there is a cloud hanging out over OSI VOR right now, running northward along the ridge.

Looks like it would be easy to fly under if approaching from the north. I wouldn't do it from PAO or SQL.

No AIRMET Sierra, though.

Current AWOS at HAF may not support sightseeing, and I'll have to disagree that marine layer is not a factor. I'd go in the morning with a dewpoint spread of 2, but not in the late afternoon.

320 @ 15, 5sm vis with haze, dewpoint 10, temp 12 (at 4PM PDT).

Worst case we won't go there. After 7:30pm the TFR moves quite a bit East.

Sweet, Harris Ranch on Saturday with the AYA and Boonville Sunday with POA. Looks like a quality weekend to me.

Depends. If I haven't submitted my resignation letter on that Friday I'm up. Otherwise I'll be selling my plane.

Whoa! Trouble in paradise, err.. Oakland. My plane supposed to be ready.

I happen to have a plane booked for the 22nd. If we decide on that date, I will grace you all with my presence.

I flew into Palo Alto yesterday. A few scattered clouds but that was about it. The marine layer looked pretty thick to the N/W.

Boonville looks interesting the 20th to 23rd they are having the Sierra Nevada world music festival and camp out, At the fair grounds. Should make for some interesting people watching. Reggae and world music whatever that is. Might get a contact on the flyby. Oh my!

I booked a plane for the 23rd. This is still on, right? A guy was in the school looking for cross country buddies so I invited him (I know, I know, I bring a different pilot every time). He even called me "cheerleader" in the email. You see, the owner of my flight school says I'm the cheerleader of aviation.

I'm in :goofy: ...who else? Looks like at least two others, plus a couple of maybes.
There's also Airport Day (open to fly in to) at SQL on Saturday, 6/22. Prolly lots o' food there.

Well, crap. Boonville sounded really nice, but I can't do Sunday. Saturday is fine (sorry, KSQL is a bit too close).

I'd really like to make it to one of these things. Someday.

Yeah me too, I could make Saturday but Sunday is out for me as well.

From several sources, Saturday's forecast does look better. As I said before, I can do either day, and now it looks as though more people are able to do Saturday. So...

Here's a vote for either day.

You guys should go on Saturday!

I am splitting PIC left seat and costs with a pilot, so we are all set (including plane reservation) for Sunday.

Go Saturday. I can't make it but he and I can still fly there on Sunday. No big deal. I have a hangar party to go to on Saturday but I don't think it starts until the night time.

Let me make some calls. The plane he is checked out in is not available on Saturday but two of the other planes I fly are available.

Kimberly

EDIT: I said above I can't make Saturday. Let me see if I can. Weather is supposed to be phenomenal.

Sunday is better for me. I am supposed to do the post annual maintenance flight on Saturday with my A&P.

The latest from NOAA is nice weather Saturday and a 20% chance of showers on Sunday. Looks like Saturday for me.

What time are you all meeting on Saturday? Saturday is tomorrow. How many are going? Has anyone called the restaurant?

Sounds Luke just me and John on Sunday?

So who's going?
MAKG?
Sac Arrow?
sacbluesman?
willywildes?
moltenlava?
Skyscraper?
Goofy?
aviatingfool?

Anyone else? And what time? Meet at the airport "terminal " around noon?

I now have my plane back (we did the MX flight today). My son heads back to Santa Barbara on Sunday, so I still may prefer Sunday, as he expressed an interest in spending some time with me Saturday. I could try to talk him into Booneville, but he is 19 and not that into aviation, so maybe not.

Still uncertain right now, but if I go I'll make that a plan.

We'll see what happens with Oceano. Right now it looks like marine layer until 11AM. That's acceptable, but it can stay that way all day.

That appears to be the case. I'll go Saturday if I go at all.

Well it turns out my plane will not be available tomorrow as anticipated. I've been rescheduled for Sunday. Hopefully I'll see some of you guys there.
