Yeah, good point, I'm sorry. Some claims are just so mind-boggling inane that I can hardly believe it. I mean, the claim that the USA is not a democracy? Does that person know the first thing about our political system? Does he know how many Senators there are? I just couldn't believe that.

If "Evidently hands aren't the only thing you possess that's diminutive" passes in your world for 'commentary' (and not 'name calling') then we have very different standards for discourse.
 
As a hypothetical, let's say you use an iPad and decide you want to make a guy totally disappear from a forum. Can it be done easily?

You brought it up before, and avoided it when you made the claim they do. Then you displayed your hypocrisy by saying others had to back up what you deemed BS in this thread, but somehow you are exempt from doing exactly what you demand of others.. So, if you want to play the game, put on your cleats.

Do you mean something beyond the Ignore function?

One thing I miss about usenet is that I had filters sent up where I could killfile a poster as well as the direct replies to a poster.

Yep, as though he never existed. And soon. When I used IE, they said some of the other stuff would do it, but I'm clueless about this stuff. If these things were GPS's the big button would be my "Direct To" and the only button I ever push.

I like the naked ladies in this show (GOT) but otherwise I just can't get into it the way a lot of my friends have.

Aw come on, one of the most idiotic government undertakings we've seen. Steve Buscemi, Scorsese, naked women, no commercials, very loosely based on the real government corruption and real gangsters, naked women, over the top production, naked women... what's not to love?

Oh, no, I haven't seen that show yet . . . maybe I'll check it out. It certainly sounds like the sort of thing I'm into.
 
I'm a newbie to message boards, but I'm totally amazed by how ****ty people are willing to be to each other, and how mean, through the anonymity of the Internet. Nothing is easier than ridiculing someone whom you don't have to look in the eye. Seems like this site would be better if more people kept that in mind.

Well, Game of Thrones is over. It was pretty bad. The naked girl in the tub did not end up making out with her hot servant, which would have redeemed it. Thumbs-down all the way around.

Can't spend any more time with the Internet message boards right now, though. This experience has taught me some things, including that there are some weird mother****ers on the Internet. (Both good weird and bad weird.) Fly safe!
