Georgia Pilots

Georgia for another couple of weeks then moving approx 1,500' on the SC side of the border.

I am glad we have a place like this forum to discuss aviation. To let you guys know who I am. I am a corporate pilot and flight instructor in Columbus, Georgia. I would also like to invite you guys to my flight school anytime we have FAA Seminars or aircraft sales shows. We also offer a fun little deal called the IMC Club. Feel free to check out our web page www.skylinecolumbus.com and also like us on Facebook for up to date current events that we hold at our flight training center. I can't wait to meet you guys and talk aviation.

Steven,

Do you know or have you met Chris Bowick. He lives down your way. Not a member of any of the boards that I know of.

Since we had two number fours, I don't know where I am in the list. ;)
I'm just south of Augusta. I do consulting work and use my plane to fly back and forth to work each week. I also love to take my friends and family up when I have the opportunity. Heck...I just like to fly for any reason!

Wow. Lots of Jawjuh folks here...

Newnan here (that's on the scary SOUTH side, for you north-sider snobs ;) :D)

Add another to this growing list of fine aviators! :D

Do what we do with the Colorado contingent...The list is alphabetical for the first 36 or so, then I just keep adding to the bottom (getting lazy) which updates the thread on POA.

Peachtree City here (I'm NOT with Delta, at least not yet ;) ). Waiting for my paycheck to allow getting back into personal flying.

Since Jeremy moved to KS we haven't had any lunches.

Braceletwinner,
I am glad you are taking your practical test nest month. Join in on our free seminars sometime. We hold one on taking the practical test for all certifications or just individual certifications. We love to travel and hold these seminars at new locations as well. If there is a topic you would like to discuss we are more than willing to hold one!

Down Town "Wal-vegas" GA here. One o' th' "front porch gang".

I'm a little conflicted. I look forward to the move but I have a great part time CFI gig when I am now and I worry I won't be able to find one down there.

Well not much aviation in Dahlonega, but Atlanta has several flight schools. I'm going to start training for my multi at Falcon later this year. Huge school south of Atlanta. I would think you could find something at PDK or LZU. Two busy airports.

Fly in at Dalton on the 18th.

Steven:

My wife and I are looking to possibly move near your area.

Can you provide any information regarding websites to look for property, homes etc in the Columbus area.

Then I would be 5 hahahahah

Conyers, Ga checking in.....

Hey Keith, I have a brother in your area. He lives on Brown Bridge Rd about half way between Conyers and Covington. He picks me up at the Covington airport and we go to the buffet that's in the old train station coming into Covington. I think it may be called Thomas Buffet if I remember correctly.
Do you fly out of Covington?

Don't think there are many SC aviators on this forum to have a fly-in with, so if you guys happen to have a fly-in in Augusta during the summer, I may hop across the border for the day and come out to meet some fellow POAers.

Here is a link to our EAA Chapter 172 website. It's not the greatest website but it will keep you abreast of flying activities around the Augusta area. We usually meet for lunch on the second Saturday of the month, but have breakfasts and other events so always check the website before flying over. It is a friendly group of guys that would enjoy having you fly in.

I fly in and out of Newberry SC all the time. I really like the mechanic there, Bill Clamp and his son Todd. I also take friends up to sight see over Lake Murray in your area.

Hi Steven. I have a Mooney M20J I keep at Covington. I also do some contract pilot work.

Thanks I'll try to check it out sometime over the summer. Like chapter number by the way! I've never been to Newberry but I live right on Lake Murray and love taking people up over the lake too. I'm also going to try to check out a SC breakfast club meeting when I can.
Gotta say too, pilots are seriously the friendliest people out there.

I'll be relocating the Bonanza from Hinesville GA to Ridgeland SC on June 1st. About a 30 minute flight to Augusta. Let me know when you're in town, we'll go for a ride.
