Question, how do you guys post pictures that large? I tried the link from a picture hosting site and it was still about avatar size unless you click on it.....
Thanks!

You can use Flickr or Imgur. It will give you several options in size

I use Flickr as rrmkru mentioned.
Here's a sunset shot at Albert Whitted Airport in St Petersburg, FL.

Thanks! The camera is a Drift170HD. I took the snap mount base and screwed it to the wing tip (existing holes for wingtip attach).
I'll see if I can find a picture of the mount.

Oh I see. It looked like you mounted it on the flat surface of the wing itself. A while back someone showed me a camera mount that use only suction for mounting, that way it could be attached to a composite wing (or something similar). So I thought you used something similar.
If you have a picture of that mount then yeah post it, but don't go out of your way. I still haven't even got myself a respectable camera to mount. :mad2:

Hi there,

I'm fairly new to the forums, thought I'd introduce myself with some pictures now that I can actually post them!

Central California coast flying towards Pismo Beach in Fall

Heater stopped working for this flight, nothing like -8C without a heater, that was a fun flight. Still had some cool shots of the sunset :)

My usual home: view of downtown LA in Summer

Now keeping the theme of cliché LA stuff, here's a picture I snagged when I sat in on a friend's helicopter lesson. Definitely a different world flying helos, not sure if I could still join the dark side.

And of course the good ol' Golden Gate

As for me, I just turned 21 and am a student at UC Santa Cruz finishing up in March a year early studying Chinese/Linguistics, then I'm heading to China for a few months in April. I'm using saved $$$ from early graduation to finance my flying dreams. I have my multi commercial instrument and seek to expand my ratings to CFI in Summer hopefully. Flying is my life, there's nothing like it. I have hopes and dreams to be a corporate pilot of some sort, we'll see what happens. Met a bunch of POA people at the last NorCal fly-in at Half Moon Bay, looking forward to meet some more people in the future from here. I gotta say, this is the ultimate procrastination forum :D but besides that I thoroughly have enjoyed my limited time here so far.

All the best,

Nick

Nick,

Those are some great photos... thanks for sharing them with us... Where you based out of?

I have used (hired) the Erickson folks to set a lot of HVAC equipment for me over the years. They are great for cleaning a parking lot up. Sadly they make more money fighting fires than lifting equipment so I don't think they even perform the rigs anymore. The guy I worked with was based somewhere in Columbus.

Old post to dig up but,

I think they still do lifts as they used to always stop at ISZ,

This is them practicing lifts with a weight (shot with a cell phone several years ago, TURN THE SOUND DOWN!!)

I know I posted already, but I thought this was a cool shot. It was from last Summer and I just found it on my hard drive.

Nice - did you get a formation flying checkout before you polished the wing? :dunno:

I used them to rig equipment at Sycamore HS and they used ISZ than as well.mi had tons of pictures and even video, but I have no idea where it might be.

Thanks! It actually needs to be repolished now (pic was from the Summer), that's where I'll be cursing. Scheduled for this Spring...ugh!

Cool, makes sense, the school is all of what, a mile away?

Yep, and the rig took place almost a week to the day before the tornado came through.

This is a youtube video that's a compilation of some of my pictures and videos from flying. It includes taking off from grass runways, aerobatics in a citabria, flying around Maui, and pictures of my solo in a J3 cub.

It's a promo video for a new website I just made called Aviator Stories. I made this an organized place for pilots to share their pictures and videos. You can also sort by location to see what's been posted nearby.

Thanks for looking! Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Moved the Cheetah into her new home Friday.
(sorry, can't resize the photo at work)

Steve, What is that in the right side of the hanger that says Care Force?
It's a mock-plane for kids to sit in. The wings are folded down in the photo, but there are a few gauges, two yolks, proper seats and prop that can spin. Pretty slick actually, just not exactly air worthy.

Hi, just noticed that three pics that I posted in post #141, where removed.

EDIT: Disregard, I figured out what happened. I moved the pics to a different folder in my photobucket account, not realizing that would remove them from other websites.

For a minute there, I thought I posted some classified pictures:yikes::rofl:.

Problem solved.

A couple of pics from this past weekend in North Florida.

This first picture comes from my normally sleepy little airport in Fernandina Beach, Florida (KFHB)
This past weekend was the Concours D'Elegance car show at the Ritz Carlton and normally that
means that we go from 3 or 4 old Cessnas on the ramp to 100+ corporate jets, but much to my
surprise this was no jet that this guy brought in.

This next one is looking south over Vilano Beach, FL just after departing off runway 13 at the St Augustine Airport.
