It was great! After meeting you all, I was inspired to walk out to the beach at Pillar Point.

At the trailhead there was a jam-up of cars waiting for a parking place to open up, so I was glad I was on foot. On my way out a lady in one of the cars asked me if I was "taking off," and I had fun telling her "I'm parked at the airport!"

I rode my bike up to the ridge above Maverick's and then a few miles down the coast. You couldn't ask for a better day.

It was great meeting everyone. I got out of there around 5:00 and it was still nice. Should we do another poll for the next one? Onwards, that was very generous of you to buy lunch! Thank you.

Welcome. Of course, I didn't expect that more than half would pay for my lovely company in return :wink2:

nice to meet all of you, had a great time, and looking forward to seeing you all at the next one! That photo bomb didn't turn out as well as I thought though...

Someone else snapped that one and from what I hear it didn't come out well, but maybe someone will post it. You were hiding behind her when I took my shot. It was still funny for those of us who were there :)

Nice to put some faces with the names at KHAF today. And, for pilots, most of you look remarkably normal!
Was taking pictures, and batteries went dead; then lost you...
Had to get back anyway for date to see Top Gun in 3D.
Thanks to KAL and John?

What a great day! It was great to meet all of you that I hadn't met before and it was good to see all those that I have.
Thank you John, for suggesting and arranging this.
Thanks to Kim for helping as well.
Thanks to all for the conversation and to Barak (sp?) for the generous offer.

Looking forward to the next one!

That was really fun. Thank you Kim and John for putting it together! When is he next one?

I have started a new thread with a new poll (this one is public, so we don't get the drive by voters). NorCal Flyin 2013 Part 2

That was a great showing, good fun, round two started, thanks John. Flying season is off to a great start.Patrick

Wait - what did he do? What is a photo bomb?

He put himself in your picture, while someone was snapping one (uninvited). It was right after I took mine (notice he is sneaking around the back of you in the crabs photo).

I say "possible" flour bombing because I saw it mentioned at one of the above links.
