I remembered that view from my flight out there last year. Trying to get my wife to take a flight out there with me. She said she'll do BDR first, since it's only a 25 min flight:D

Baby steps:rolleyes:

Might want to try KDXR. You fly down a canyon on the approach to rwy 35 (I believe).

I've landed at Block Island twice and it is an awesome destination. Lots of great beaches and restaurants.

Yeah I've been there a few times (love it), 26 is the only approach I've flown. Haven't used 35 yet.

My wife has a cousin in Waterbury, so maybe she'll fly out to OXC with me.

Yeah, tell her there is a great restaurant on the field.

My daughter and son-in-law's wedding gift(married on Jan 5th)..... A scenic flight of NYC! 1/17/13

This was a historic flight for me because I had the pleasure of giving them their first flight as newlyweds. And although she's flown many times, this flight was reminiscent of her first flight. I gave her and my younger daughter their first flight (the same scenic route) right after I got my PPL in 1999. She was 11 and her sister was 5.

I'll never forget, she was in the front taking pictures and my younger daughter was in the back. I glanced over my shoulder to see how she was doing back there and she was knocked out :)

Now the 11 year old is 24 and married, and although her husband sat up front with me, she took some amazing shots from the back seat........enjoy!
Don't know why she didn't get any of Coney Island:dunno:

I took this one a while ago at Phoenix Mesa gateway. I was tying down when a flight of 4 of these guys started their break turn. I had just enough time to dig my camera out of the luggage area and snap these as they were headed down the taxiway.

Nice view along the beaches right? Did you fly to Breezy Point then southwest to Sandy Hook?

I'm thinking of flying down to Atlantic City and was looking at the route, since a Bravo clearance is highly unlikely south of JFK.

On the way up, I went up and over JFK and did the south shore trip on the way home.

Snoqualmie Falls, near Seattle. This is the falls that were featured in the "Twin Peaks" TV series.

Not bad, when you consider it was taken from a low-wing plane....
