What is your favorite adult beverage? What do you drink to unwind a little, or party like a rock star? From wine to whiskey.... what do you drink?

It's FAC baby! Time to let lose!

Captain Morgan spiced rum, diet Coke & lime. Breakfast of Champions!

:happydance:

Shiner to unwind. Screwdrivers to party all night with. It's nice being the only one who doesn't have a hangover in the morning. :D

For sitting back and enjoying, it would be a good English-style ale, Jack Daniel's, or one of the richer single-malt scotch whiskies like Craggenmore or Dalmore, depending on circumstances. But that doesn't rule out a nice dry wine (white or red, as appropriate) with a meal.

And I no longer "party like a rock star."

I'm partial to single malt scotches...just took a liking to The Glenrothe's.

Mostly red wines. Cabernet or a good meritage, if I am stepping up. A good single malt once in a while, hits the spot, like The Macallan 18. Also, a Grey Goose martini is good, when I am in the mood for a cocktail. After a hot flight in the summer, I keep Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in my hangar fridge.

Jack Daniels, If I have money and it's available, Old Rip. Dickle 12 in a pinch. Neat or straight up. Prohibition is over, no need to add anything to it.

Tequila. Herradura, Tres Generations, Gran Centenarrio, Corazon. . . straight up. I'm type II, gotta keep the carbs down.

sometimes one of the Jacks . . . Gentleman, Single Barrel or Black - sometimes Makers Mark or one of the small batches like Bullet. . . . too bad about Woodford . . . a good small batch turned into a pretty miserable large production.

Think Ron White accent here but . . . putting good tequila or whiskey into something sugary is just wrong. . . .

A nice cigar. Currently my favorite is Partagas 8-9-8 Varnished - Habanas only.

Gran Cenyenarrio is superb.

For me my adult beverage of Choice is the quintessential American drink , Bourbon, Woodford reserve or Angels Envy. Knob is pretty good too.

Good Bourbon, good Tequila (Cuervo La Familia is my favored by a good measure), good beer.

Most any amber beer. I'm currently working on a Newcastle Brown Ale.

mmmmmmmmm. Beer.

Hmmm, in order of frequency:

cheap beer

dry red wine

Scotch - usually go for the older stuff anymore - there's nothing quite like bringing a new 18 year old home for the night. ;)

black rum - usually Venezuelan

all the rest...my liver is well trained by three engineering degrees (there's a price to be paid for everything)

80 % of the time it's Pepsi and Barcardi..
15 % of the time it's LandShark beer..
5% of the time it's Chivas Regal...

I'm a craft beer guy...CO is nearly world-famous for specialty and local brews and I LOVE it! My g/f likes a good red wine in addition to the beer. We both love trying out the local flavors wherever we travel.

In order of preference:

1) A shaken Dirty Martini with grey goose vodka. With imported olives from Spain. I usually keep the vodka frozen.

1 Tie) Madeira Dessert wine from V. Sattuie winery in Napa Valley. Amazing wine fortified with aged brandy.

3) Cabernet Sauvignon with fresh game. Awesome with Venison!!!

4) Crown, or other wines as needed or wanted...

5) European beer or a good sam adams

6) slumming.... bud light, etc...

Chivas Regal for a good every day winder downer.
or a good single malt scotch like Glen Livet 16 yr.

A good smooth red wine for an entertaining evening with my favorite lady (my wife). I like a good Australian Malbec and I have recently discovered
some good red zinfandels. I can't drink white wine.

A good dark beer. I can't drink light beer; they taste like adulterated water.

But mostly a good Scotch. Either neat or with ONE ice cube.

I know why I like Henning, as well...
I used to like Henning because he is the only person I have met that may be smarter than my wife. But now that I know he has good taste in liquor I can overlook some of his other quirks too.

I'm sitting with a simple ice cold Miller High Life right now, but I do like micro brew beers as long as they don't get fruity.

Being fall/winter, my favorite beverage is Makers Mark neat or with one or two ice cubes. I also like Knob Creek.

In the spring and summer, I'm a gin guy. Usually, Bombay Saffire on the rocks with stuffed olives or cocktail onions. If I'm thirsty, I'll do a Bombay and tonic, with lime.

I'm simple. Beer for me. Don't work tomorrow so I just finished off a few Amber Bocks and watched the new season of Aviators on Bluray. Now that I've had time to think about that statement, that's a pretty pathetic Friday night.

1) Zubrowka and green apple juice

2) Russian Standard

3) Good red wine, nothing sweet

4) Heineken light

Wow, I started this thread and took the wifey out to diner with some flying friends. Come back and the party has started! :happydance:

Man! Some of you guys would be expensive dates!

Oh, and my hangover cure? 2 Asprin before you go to bed taken with a glass of water. Have not had a hangover in 20 years.

I love fruity beers also. Blue Moon with an orange, and micro brews. Bud Lite with tomato juice is good also.

Party on. :cornut:

But as always.... 8 hours from bottle to throttle. Now where did I leave those asprin. :rolleyes2:

Too bad Geico - fruity is what causes hangovers -

I'm sitting here - after my 3rd glass of tequila, served with home grown limes (nothing sweeter] and probably more like 6 or so standard shots, relaxed, smoked a cigar sitting outside, knowing that no matter what - I'll never have a hangover.

A man has to know his limitations . ..

Vitamin D is the secret to no hangovers. Haven't had one since I began taking 4,000 units D3/day. In short, get all your vitamin levels tested and find out what is needed...

I will drink most anything put into my hand. Right now I'm drinking a bottle of Shock Top Belgium Ale.

I have some vodka and Jameson on top of the fridge for parties and card nights.

Any salt on the glass or just straight?

I forgot to mention that my girlfriend makes a killer frozen strawberry margarita...when she's on it (or I am) I have zero hope of making it past two or three of them before I have to crawl into bed.

Oh, and caffeine and ibuprofen works to clear my hangovers.

Cold, crisp and pale Henry's Ale, straight up organic American Vodka, dry red wine and Scotch either singly, or all mixed together....
