Eddie Albert passes

Eddie Albert died today. Saw an interview with him as he discribed his experiences at the Battle of Tarawa in the Gilbert Islands. I would not want to have seen what he has seen. He struck me as a real gentleman and a pleasant human being. He will be missed.

Re: Eddie Albert passes

It kinda' ticked me off that the report I heard today said he was best known for his stint on Green Acres. Yeah, right. Mr. Albert was much more than that and desrves better.

Re: Eddie Albert passes

Oddly, I just watched the original "The Longest Yard" last night on cable. He played the Warden. Did a fine job in that too.....
