Ignore thread?

Is there any hope of getting an ignore thread option?

I seem to recall a comment from Jesse(?) muttering about how complicated that would be to implement. Has this changed at all?

Yeah, I guess it is hard to do without software.....

We have the option on the Purple Board. As such, it can't be THAT hard to implement. We're too lazy to do anything complicated.

You do have to open the thread before you can ignore it though.

And it is possible to get by without having the software sort threads by most recent post, but yet it is considered worthwhile.

Most Usenet readers had come to have ignore thread features because people found the feature useful. Obviously if you are ignoring 5 out of 50 threads, you don't need software to aid you. But if you feel you need to ignore 25 of those 50 threads, then it is nice to have the help of a computer.

From usenet, I really liked the kill thread feature... you don't even have the various juvenile threads polluting the listing of new posts.

I've added the ability to ignore threads. You can manage your ignored threads inside of your User CP.

Let me know if you notice anything odd happening with the board.

Will this affect the advanced search function? Will ignored threads not show up?

They doesn't appear to show up. I previously added a couple of polls to the ignore thread list and just searched for "poll". None of the ignored threads appeared.
