    TT could be total time or tach time. If the tach is replaced, that should be in the logs. And later annuals should show the current tach time as was as the total tach time. So multiple tachs should not affect total time.

    I was, but was not thinking through. If the fix you are cleared direct to is on your clearance, your clearance is still valid, just amended. If they clear you direct to a fix not on your clearance (and not a fix along an airway you are cleared on), then yes it would be your new clearance limit.

    From sitting in one, the other issue is the spar runs under the front seats, near the back edge, so your toes can't go under the seat. Makes it feel cramped in leg room.

    I have Bruce's sun shades. They use suction cups for the side windows. I have not had any issues for up to 5 days, even though I don't stick all the suction cups.

    In the old days, you flew to the DPE for your checkride, unless they just happened to be at the same field.

    What I do is call and get my clearance before engine start. But tell them I will call back when ready to depart. Then start, taxi, run up, and call back for my void time. No rush.

    Reduced power climbs are old school. Modern thought is full power, full RPM for climb. As long as CHTs are under control. But you can reduce those by increasing airspeed a bit. And that also gives better visibility over the nose. As for too low of CHT, you are fine in the upper 200s or above.

    I think that tandem for 2 place aerobatic is the norm. Side by side is more rare. For side by side, there is also the CAP-10.

    Last one I did, I used the AOPA template to develop an agreement. Worked well, but then again, a handshake probably would have worked OK.

    I also did that. And insured for expected replacement cost. But that was still a good bit less than what the automated system had increased the value to.
