    Starter Issue

Installed new twist to start ignition switch 3 months ago - Piper Cherokee 140. Yesterday plane started easily, I shutdown, filled fuel. Upon restarting, turn key and all I got was a click, click, click from under the cowling. Let sit 20 mins — same thing. Voltage indicated was 12v. New battery...

    Back Surgery and Resuming Flying

Has anyone had lower lumbar fusion surgery on the L5S1? I'm due to undergo this surgery, this is my only bad disc and am expected to make a full recovery. I fly a Piper, which might be a nightmare at first to climb into the cockpit. If you had this procedure, when were you able to start...

Any good landing tips while on final?

I'm right at the point of soloing, but am having an issue on final. When I'm about to land I have a tendency to overcorrect and rather than tease the plane down to the ground by holding the nose, I flare a bit too soon. Any good tips on maintaining the right nose attitude so i don't bounce the...

    Garmin 480 Waas

I’m looking at buying a GPS. I’m a VFR pilot who may eventually go for instrument training. Can anyone tell me how the Garmin 480 Waas compares to the 430 Waas? The 480 seems to be a good gps and goes for about 2-3k less than the 430w.

    Cross Country Flight

I live in the Boston area and am looking to purchase a Piper Cherokee 140 (with power flow) from the LA area. I would like to do the flight myself with a CFI friend of mine. I'm wondering how long it would take to fly this route. I'm guesstimating 27 hours flight time, thereabouts. Break it...

    Cherokee 140 - Seat Swap?

I'm looking at purchasing a Piper Cherokee 140 from 1977. The pilot seat is shot. I'm wondering if the seat tracks can accommodate seats from a Warrior ii or Warrior iii? The seats from these models are more comfortable and I'm sure I can find them in salvage.
