    (Fly-in?) KSAA Shively Field Wyoming

With only one runway (two for the pedantic ones around), it could be a good exercise in crosswind landings :) Short flight for me and it would fill in a blank on my map

    Why haven't you been to a POA fly-in ?

That wouldn't necessarily indicate where people live though. For example, my ISP thinks I'm in Sioux Falls, SD. And I access the site on the road on my phone. I'm no database guru, but I think a voluntary box on our profile with a (hidden) zip code entry could maybe do the trick.

Your landing was SO bad that someone felt you needed a beer?

    Monday only - worth it?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will definitely plan on going then, and just have my job fly me out of ATW or GRB instead of my normal home base. Do they sell tickets for Sunday, or is that a free for all to wander?

    Monday only - worth it?

I am thinking of heading to Oshkosh this year, but would need to go to work on Tuesday. This means I'd only get to see Monday. I've only been once before and we did Thursday-Sunday. Would it be worth it to see Monday only? Is the show on fully by then and vendors set up etc? Of course, if my...

Safety Pilot - Central Florida. KGIF, KBOW, KISM

I'm a non-local CFII, and I'd be willing to go up with you on one of my many Orlando trips. My payment will be you flying the ILS 15 at KISM so I can get pictures of Disney on the approach :P

Small plane crash Orlando Sanford International

I like the airport spokesperson saying it hit a "parked, unoccupied airplane on our runway"...sounds like a terrible place to park an airplane

Comm 2 has died. Is it worth replacing?

With your kind of flying, I'd highly recommend a second unit. As others mentioned. Having the capability to listen to numerous frequencies does you no good if the unit itself fails.

Logging Simulated Instrument 3 Years Not Current

Although what you are planning is fine, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to do the IPC first to knock off the rust. Then go out and work the system legally and proficiently.

    New logbook - Jeppesen

Same. Some of my students have a "Day/Night" column. The way I see it, if it's not night, it's day....so why log day?

    ATL - Delta’s ATP class

Agreed with the above. I did my ATP/CTP (not at Delta) when I had roughly 1300hrs and a few hours of turbine time (30ish). I felt some of the information might have gone above my head when I was a 450 hour pilot (then again, you might be smarter than me...lol). I also feel I understood the...

Looking for a Instrument/Commercial time building buddy in New England.

The NE is a part of the country I have yet to explore. I have a bucket list of visiting all 50 state capitol buildings, and I am conveniently missing Montpelier, Augusta and Concord.

I think it's time to quit Hertz

ND doesn't do temp tags on the outside of the vehicle, we have a piece of paper in the rear windshield until the plates arrive. That being said, most rental cars here are titled in ID or SD once the plates arrive.

    Proliferation of schools using callsigns

Then you have UND who changed their school mascot from the Fighting Sioux to Fighting Hawks, but their call signs are still "Sioux". Except student solos which are "Green"
