Me to. Ya can jump in with punchlines right away without having to be nice. I’ll give the pilot a good job on this one. Please tell me he didn’t just run outta gas because he didn’t have enough in the plane.
Maybe like a 172 or lot of other similar sized planes with the right and the rear seats removed. There’ll be some CG issues. You’d probably have to do a weighing and get that re calculated. You’ll end up with a little more payload.
“…Do they enter such things into the computer and it plots a course line? Does that line get passed on to controllers in the following sectors…” Some Radars had the ability to throw up a course line. Probably almost all nowadays. You wouldn’t leave it on the scope, just do it to get a picture...
You won’t need a wallet anymore because there won’t be anything left to put in it anymore. Ok, punchline done, now back to those who know something about this.
They cleared you direct to destination from a point you were at at that time. That is what they expect you to do. If the wind is pushin’ you around a little, get back on what you were cleared to do.
EDIT: I read on and there is a consensus answer to this. Don’t twist to get centered, fly to...
Air Force did the Flight Check at Nam Phong in a C-140, aka Lockheed Jet Star. It checked the ASR and the PAR and probably the TACAN, I don’t remember. I dunno if it reached that far west of Saigon but, the FAA did run the Center there abouts.
Yeah. Point I was making is that maybe because of what it is about, it wouldn’t surprise me that there is some law/rule/reg that says civilians maybe shouldn’t be having TACAN. You said yes and no to my is Flight Check being contracted out question. Can you elaborate?
